I've been a full time professional musician for 13+ years and have toured all over the world performing with music icons like Chacka Khan, Beyonce, and many more. I have a lot of experience with many different styles of music and I love sharing this gift with anyone who's interested. My teaching philosophy is simple: Get students playing music! It's much easier to understand the nuts and bolts of music when put into the context of the music you like.

I received a Bachelor's in Music Education and Performance from Drake University in Flute and Piano. Currently pursuing a Master's in Music Therapy.
At Drake, I received a musical scholarship covering 80% of my tuition costs. I was also honored to sit as Principal Flute in both the Drake Symphony Orchestra and the Drake Wind Symphony, the top performing groups at the University.
I started to play the flute and piano in second grade, and my love and passion for music have only grown and matured since then.
I enjoy sharing what I've learned, and learning from my students as well.
I am excited and thrilled by the opportunity to work with you!
Both my daughters (ages 6 and 8) are taking piano lessons with Kristin. She is a great teacher: patient, encouraging, listens to the kids, and makes sure they enjoy the lessons. We hope to have lessons with her for the long run and highly recommend her for a positive music experience.

Kristin was such a wonderful teacher for our young daughter, Margaret! We had to move out-of-state and are struggling to find someone who can fill Kristin's shoes!

Berklee College of Music graduate, Aaron M., has been teaching students of all ages for over 15 years. "I love watching young musicians grow into seasoned players and have had tremendous success with all my students. I believe that learning songs and playing music is a critical element in the learning process of becoming a good drummer/pianist, and musician. This is why I bring a powered PA speaker, mp3 player, and (sometimes) a guitar to my lessons for the student to play along with and learn familiar songs. Over the years I've learned to strike a balance between Reading/Rudiments and Playing/having fun, so as to maintain students interests and growth."

Only had 1 lesson so far. My daughter seemed to enjoy her lesson. He seems very nice.

My boys, ages 7 & 5, started piano lessons with Aaron a year ago. He has taught them technique & theory all while using songs they boys love. There are days that the boys are not the most cooperative. Aaron is amazingly patient and persistent in getting the boys to do their lessons. I really appreciate and have learned from this patience when it comes to the nightly practicing. I am pleased that the boys have been working with a male teacher and I think it really helps them relate to the music and the lessons. If you are looking for a patient yet knowledgeable piano teacher, I would definitely recommend Aaron.
I have over 10+ years of performing music and perform 5-10 a month in the greater Boston area. From piano and voice technique to stage presence, performance is one of my favorite aspects of being a musician!
Hi! I'm Josh, a passionate music educator in Boston, MA. I have taught over 2000 lessons over the past five years to piano, voice, and theory students of all ages. From preparing for rock-vocal style auditions at Berklee College of Music to helping re-discovering the fun of classical piano lessons, there is nothing I enjoy more than working with students on achieving their goals. As a gigging musician and a lifetime student myself, I know what it takes to improve, master, and most importantly ENJOY your time at your instrument. Looking forward to helping you reach all your music goals!
About me: I eat/breathe/sleep music. From writing and conducting my first A Capella piece in high school to playing in bands that have toured around the world, music is my passion and my life! I value nothing more than finding that passion in others and
working together to turn musical fantasies into realities.
From grade school to high school I took rigorous classical piano lessons. In 2006-07 I attended two summer programs at Berklee College of Music where I studied jazz/rock performance, and continued to study jazz piano at Washington University.
At Boston University, I studied classical music composition/theory, and was accepted to for a dual degree in Music Composition, Psychology, but decided to pursue music as a minor in order to allow more time for gigging. Since relocating to Boston, I have performed 250+ shows in various ensembles around the greater Boston area.
*** Lesson Details *** As your private instructor, I am here to give you the most rewarding, interesting, and enjoyable lessons in the UNIVERSE. My lessons are are catered to your specific goals and where you are at, beginner to advance, 5-1000 years old. I am here to get you to where you want to go, whether that's taking up a new hobby or becoming a virtuoso. Together, we will do it!
In our lessons we will work on:
- Your favorite songs, any style - Writing your own music - How to learn music by ear - How to read music notation and chord sheets. - How to record/produce yourself - really, seriously, ANYTHING YOU WANT!
I know what it's like to have a teacher that is uninspiring, or to be told that a certain kind of music is the "right kind to learn," when all you want to do is jam out to your favorite songs on the radio. I've been there. That's not what I'm about. I'll teach you how to play whatever it is you want to learn, whether that's the complete works of Bach or the latest One Direction song. Let's do it.
*** Studio Equipment *** Digital Piano, Synthesizer, Digital Audio Workstation, Recording Equipment.
*** Travel Equipment *** Piano and voice students must provide piano/keyboard.
*** Specialties *** My experience is primarily with pop/rock/jazz/classical music, but we can do any genre/style you'd like!
My 15 year old son is primarily a songwriter and guitar player. He wanted some singing lessons just so he can feel more confident as a vocalist. Joshua has been very pleasant, fairly flexible in terms of scheduling, and has delivered on that confidence. We recommend him!

This was awesome! I am excited for my next lesson!
Being a performer that has played on many stages in many different places, I teach students (especially younger students) how to listen to other players and be productive band members. I speak from experience about what it is to be in a band and how to work with other musicians.
In addition to being a Berklee College of Music Graduate, I have a Masters in Music Education, and currently completing my Doctorate in Music Education from Boston University, I have been playing for over 30 years.
Lessons are written and tailored to you. I use music, printouts, and instructional material to make sure you progress as you should.
I have spots available every day of the week, so I'm confident that we can find something that works for both of us.
I know that learning to play any style of music whether it be Jazz, Blues, Soul, Motown, Funk, or Rock is a challenge, but with help from an experienced educator, your instrument becomes a rewarding lifelong enjoyment.
Please feel free to contact me. I would be happy to speak with you regarding any questions you may have.
Frankie helped me with my clarinet tone within the first 15 minutes of the first lesson, and gave me many more helpful playing tips throughout the hour. He was really interested in what my goals were. Looking forward to many more lessons with Frankie.

I enjoy my song writing coach Frankie. His knowledge and patience was well appreciated.
Each lesson includes studies of fundamental techniques, ear training, and music history in order to facilitate the development of a whole musician.
Hello, and thank you for your interest!
My name is Stephanie, I am a teaching-artist from El Paso, Texas. I currently reside, perform and teach in the Boston and greater Boston area.
I am a recent graduate of The New England Conservatory of Music with a Masters and Graduate Diploma in Saxophone Performance. I received my Bacherlors in Music Education from New Mexico State University.
“A teaching artist, by definition, is a two-career professional: a working artist and a working educator. As a working artist is they are involved in an ongoing process of discovery, problem solving, discipline and refinement of skills in their discipline. As a working educator, it is essential that the artist is also developing a knowledge base and skills to be an effective partner in education. Achieving a meaningful balance between these two prof
essions, whereby one feeds the other, is an ongoing process that requires a deepening awareness for the teaching artist of what their teaching brings to their art and what their art teaches them about learning.”
I am devoted and dedicated to helping find each of my students' strengths, weaknesses and style of learning. Once I have identified these traits, I am able to develop lessons and repertoire that helps each students become the most efficient learner and best musician they can be.
I pride myself in creating a fun and safe learning environment in which I establish a firm musical foundation for my students. Lessons include: scales, etudes, articulation, dynamic and sight reading exercises, standard repertoire, recording and analyzing performances, music history lessons, and exploration of the sounds, genres and artists of saxophone/flute/clarinet/piano.
Simultaneously, my students cultivate many other skills while learning how to play their instrument. Students enhance their fine motor skills and ability to memorize, students increase their overall self-confidence and become self-sufficient and creative problem solvers. I am passionate about educating and empowering my students and I enjoy connecting with a wide array of musicians of all ages, playing levels and backgrounds.
Feel free to contact me to inquire about lessons, I hope to hear from you soon!
I'm an older student (old actually) who started piano 2 years ago with Stephanie . She is great for a beginning student. Knows how to teach. Is encouraging, but demanding enough to keep me on my toes. Just wonderful and a thoroughly lovely person.

Stephanie is a patient, knowledgeable, enthusiastic educator and collaborator who loves to perform and teach. I had the honor of working with her for nearly four years while we pursued similar degrees at New Mexico State University. She consistently brought a level of maturity and preparedness beyond her age to our rehearsals and practices. If I was limited to only one word to describe her, it would be "professional".
September 21, 2017
I very much enjoyed my lesson!
Stephanie is very personable and patient! Can't wait until next week!
I am a student of various great drum teachers from many backgrounds. Experienced players enjoy jamming with me, but I have been told that I am especially gifted at helping beginners feel comfortable finding rhythms and sounds out of any instrument, including the human body. Rhythmic breathing is made simple and encouraged from the start. Tones and drum patterns can be explained verbally or written mathematically. Students remember the patterns forever, as well as gaining comfort in playing with other drummers or instruments. Odd time signatures or complicated songs can be tackled and easily learned. Use any drum or percussion instrument you have! Recordings are encouraged if you like!
Peter grew up in Chicago, raised to love soulful music. A graduate of Northwestern University's Performance Studies program with a focus on Theatre and
Media Arts, Public Speaking, and Ethnology. Designing percussion for stage and dance lead to studies and teaching of North and West African, Middle Eastern drum, Caribbean/South American and Asian drum and percussion rhythms. First hand experience has been gained by living in Morocco and South Korea for nearly a year each, studying and documenting folk music.
"I've rehearsed and performed with Vandi Enzor in a chamber setting per the requirements of her graduate voice degree. I accompanied her on guitar as she s
ang; the specific piece was the Seven Popular Spanish songs by the great Spanish composer Manuel de Falla. Vandi is professional, patient, hard working, receptive, and musical. Her great command of her instrument is evident, and more than that she has genuine joy in what she does. Collaborating with her was a pleasure, and I can't recommend her enough for musical instruction. A true professional."
"We just wanted to thank you so much for all your help over the last few months in preparing Sara for her recitals. Her talent show at school was last nigh
t and she did fabulously and projected for all to hear and she couldn’t have done it without your teaching!"
"Arrica has been such a wonderful teacher for my 11-year-old daughter. (She was 9 when she started with Arrica.) Our girl has a lot of raw talent but neede
d some good instruction that wasn't too formal. Africa is just the right blend of traditional singing technique and fun rock-n-roll, record your own music on Garage band. We love her!"
"Jessie is very pleasant and my daughter enjoyed her first class and looks forward to the next one!"
"I have been working with Dr. M. in private lessons--she is the real deal AND she knows how to teach. I've studied a lot of things with a lot of people and
found that only a good musician who knows how to pass that knowledge on can effectively teach it. Dr. M. is that teacher!"
"Great teacher with lots of knowledge to impart and tons of patience. I highly recommend."
"Very professional. Helped me to improve my singing a lot ;)"
"Jeffery is able to provide an excellent perspective on what it takes to perform in an organic and musical way in front of large crowds, as he has a ton of
experience doing so. I highly recommend taking lessons from Jeffery, it is a wonderful experience."
"Danny has an approach that is professional and realistic to real life situations. Most coaches I've worked with before were only able to help me with basi
c piano scales. Danny actually went further and worked on my song which is R&B and taught me how to interact with a small crowd. Yikes, it works."
