I teach piano in the same manner in which I teach every instrument. First I teach students the rudiments of the instrument. Also I teach them how to read and a bit of music theory. From that point I like to follow the students lead. They bring in songs that they would like to learn, or possibly how to play a certain style like Funk, or Blues, or how to approach a classical sonata. At every point I try to point out general aspects of music that need to be learned from the material that they choose.

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

Another fantastic aspect of working with Brad is his flexibility. My daughter is involved in other activities which changes her availability times for piano lessons. Brad is very understanding, and goes above and beyond to try and accommodate our changing schedules throughout the year. We've always been able to find a day and time that works for both of us. This is really important for a busy family such as ours. I'm looking forward to my other daughter beginning piano lessons with Brad in the next couple of years once she is old enough."

But despite the love of playing fast, the practice and journey to gain this ability is actually very much slow practice. There is a famous story of a co …
