As a theorist, piano came natural from a guitar playing background after taking the interval structure of a common chord and incorporating both the left and right hand to explore the same techniques. I do best with requests and start from whatever level my student is coming from. I do everything from Beginning songs to Classical, Rock and modern Pop or Country.

About Jason
TakeLessons.com Instructor since 2005, Jason M. is now available for online lessons worldwide featuring multiple-camera angles and a share screen experience leaving no stone un-turned!

Jason has been playing guitar for over 15 years and teaching music since 1996. Although trained in standard teaching methods, he has developed his own method of teaching to positively enhance the student€™s strength, dexterity, ear-training, memorization and techniques. His goal as a teacher is specifically designed to help you achieve your goals as an artist and a musician.

This year Jason was also the Music Director at the National Guitar Workshop Day Jams Rock Music Day Camp where students ages 7-15 came out to form bands, record original material and master their craft. He also taught beginning to advanced guitar/ vocals/ performance and songwri
ting as hosted a recording clinic at the end of each day.

Jason has host student showcases/charity benefits where his students were able to get on stage and show off their new talent and perform with other musicians. It wasn't mandatory though, if you were just looking to come out and support there was no pressure other than to come out and have fun.

Jason has been transcribing for guitar and bass since the age of 18 and since then has become a master of the craft including both 5 line staff and tablature, hand-crafted exercises and deconstructions to better enhance the students learning. Artists and genres that Jason has experience with range from Classic Rock, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Guns N' Roses, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Robert Johnson, Pierce the Veil, Paramore, All Time Low, Demi Lava to, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Pantera, Avenged Sevenfold, The White Stripes, Green Day, Old Crow Medicine Show, Taylor Swift, Mumford and Sons, Bruno Mars, Rob Zombie, John 5, Audioslave, Rage Against the Machine, Van Morrison, the Beatles, AC/DC, ZZ-Top, Bullet For My Valentine, All That Remains, Ozzy, Black Label Society, Sublime, Aerosmith, At the Drive In, Type O Negative, the Black Keys, the Pixies, the Toadies, Black Sabbath, Jason Mraz, Lady GaGa, John Mayer and Journey.

Jason attended the University of Alaska, Anchorage where his degree is in Music and Business. He is constantly continuing his education with music theory courses as well as private guitar instruction. He attends guitar workshops and seminars by artists such as John5 and Kerry King who are known as some of the worlds finest guitar players. He reviews every day from a wide range of over 1000 sources working to become a better musician and instructor.

Another nice feature that you might enjoy from one on one sessions with Jason is learning the ability to craft and record your own songs using state of the art technology that caters to your own unique personality. There are no limits!

Jason teaches all experience levels from beginner to intermediate and advanced as well as artists that are signed to labels.

Local news outlet Fox 5 did a segment with one of his students who overcame issues with ADD and depression as a result of taking guitar lessons.

His students advance quickly, some have released albums, been in Guitar World Magazine as well as its online companion and won awards for their music websites.

Jason is a remarkable teacher! He truly has been able to break through a mental block I've always had regarding thinking in chords rather than just reading notes. His desire to help the student reach a personal goal is so evident. Jason remained so confident that a 'light bulb' would come on that I started to believe it myself. He has put me on a good path now and did it with his confidence in me and by providing the right tools. Thank you for your patience, confidence in me, and your calm, pleasant way of teaching, Jason.

Jean's philosophy of teaching is; 1. Taking on any new task requires time and discipline. Mistakes are a part of the learning process. The biggest challenges reap the greatest rewards.

2. The student and teacher are a team! The teacher and student will work together to learn together. As the student is learning new skills and techniques, the teacher is learning all about the student and their specialized needs.

Jean's Education:

Jean is a graduate of Bradford College in Bradford MA with a Bachelors Degree in Creative Arts. Her major instrument is piano.

Jean's Experience:

Jean began playing piano at the age of 5. Taking a break from lessons for a few years as a teenager and picking it up again in College.

Jean has been teaching piano for 10 years.

*** Lesson Details ***
Within a lesson, students can expect to be given instruction on developing proper technique. (scales, chords, basic music theory etc). The learning environment will be laid back and fun, with the student and teacher setting goals together, and reasonable expectations will be held for both the student and teacher.

Jean will ask what it is in particular that the student is wanting to learn, and will seek to develop curriculum centered around the student's goals. Weekly practice (5 days a week, 20-30 minutes a day) will be the encouraged minimum. This will vary slightly depending on individual student needs.

Students will have the opportunity to learn to play music by composers such as Mozart and Bach. My teaching addresses modern challenges in cello playing, promotes an integral approach to learning, and supports practice as a result of Informed Intuition through comprehensive cognitive preparation. I have created a method Beyond the Octave which allows students the absolute freedom over the fingerboard by dealing with the extended positions and the advanced use of the thumb. Informed Intuition teaches musicians how to carve their own paths and find their voices on the cello through careful studies of the repertoire, music history, and theory, where the artistic approach to music is based on educated and intelligent choices based on a belief that music always starts from the heart; musician allow themselves to be vulnerable enough to follow their intuition, which should be rich, informed and educated. I'm teaching that there are no permanent solutions and recipes for performing but rather options to play music differently and coherently every time. I am a firm believer that ...

I had an eye opening experience taking lessons with mr. Gaydamovich. He is a fantastic teacher, who has an in depth knowledge and practical experience not only about the technique, but also about musicianship as a whole. As an incredibly well rounded and thoughtful coach, he has helped me overcome my hurdles in playing and guided me to become a better and more thoughtful musician as well as a human being.

I enjoy teaching beginners to advanced levels. I specialize in beginning learners and believe that the initial path of studying should be reinforced with a positive teaching style and the right technique for that individual student. There is not a 'cookie cutter" music book for any beginner. As a teacher I learn the style of each student that best suits there goals to move forward.

About Steve
I am a Musical Director who has scored original music for many motion pictures and television and was musical arranger for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. I've scored and arranged original music for several television shows including, Desperate Housewives, MTV's Making the Band, It's Showtime at the Apollo and numerous series on PBS, A & E and Disney, . I have also served as on-set vocal and piano coach for many Disney TV series.

As a piano instructor, I believe in giving every student a foundation in classical music.. I enjoy teaching and playing Jazz and pop as well.

I've worked with students ages 5-90. I simply love the teaching process and respect every student's journey. Mixing structure and discipline with a positive teaching style, I work to inspire students to be their best within a well structured curriculum that is fu
n and engaging.

Music must be fun...always!

*** Lesson Details ***
My students see progress. I don't believe in cookie-cutter instruction. I take the time to learn a students individual comprehension of the musical language and their learning style. I also build a practice schedule that is realistic and creates growth. Music instruction should not feel like a burden, but should be joyful. It's a process I have respected. Whether you are 90 or 9, you can learn music, love music and feel its presence by playing an instrument or singing. My job is to communicate that joy and show you how you can do it for yourself.

Learning to master a musical instrument is a two way commitment and I will always give you my full effort as I love the results.

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have a digital upright piano for piano and vocal instruction.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will provide the lesson material and help students with purchasing the right method books.

*** Specialties ***
For beginning Piano-Intermediate, I have embraced the James Bastien series, as I believe it paces the young student and builds a foundation on a musical and pedagogical level.
Vocally, I follow a classical technique, but use that foundation as a basis to meet the goals of the singer for the style they want to achieve.

Ms. Judy is my son's first private piano teacher and one of his favorite ones. Patrick, my son, started learning piano late at about 11 years old and he could start playing pieces fairly quickly within months. She is very patient, mindful, and thoughtful. When Ms. Judy needed to move over to east coast, she provided a list of local piano teachers and even recommended one who would fit best with Patrick. With the strong background knowledge from her, Patrick continues learning piano with the recommended teacher and enjoys playing harder classical pieces. I strongly recommend Ms. Judy as a piano teacher!!!

Some teachers teach you how to read black dots on a page. Others help you to make music beyond the printed page. Having studied with Mark for a number of years, I can attest to Mark's ability not only as a fabulous musician himself, but as a teacher who helps others go "off the page" to discover the heart of musical expression. I offer thoughtful, caring lessons to students in order to nurture their growth as musicians, whether they are just starting out or seeking to develop their skills and repertoire.

About Isabel
Thank you for visiting my profile!

To tell you a bit about myself, I am originally from New York where I earned my degree from the Arts and Sciences College at Cornell University. I have studied music at Cornell, Hunter College and Mannes College of Music, and have sung and played piano since my youth. I have been taught by jazz and concert pianists. My own professional musical performance career spans some fifteen years and counting.

For the past several years, I have specialized in piano teaching because I love to embark students on new journeys of musical discovery at the piano! I teach students at my home studio in Westfield where I have an acoustic piano. My specialty is serving beginners through intermediate students. Many of my students have gone on to shine in talent shows, recitals, bands and anywhere else where t
hey choose to make music.

An everyday piano lesson with me incorporates piano improvisation, fun educational games and apps, music theory and, of course, plenty of music to take home and practice! It is my passion to make music come alive for others, and I would love to help you or your loved ones reach musical goals at the piano.

Hi! I'm Amy and I love music and I think of teaching music as a way of coming beside someone to help them discover their own love for music, too.

About Amy
Music is my life's purpose and I am committed to helping anyone and everyone I can to reach their musical potential. Whether that is as a hobby, an experience or fulfilling their own life's purpose.

From 2013-2015 I taught group music classes through Soli Encore in Orange County, CA, in violin, guitar and K-2 creative music (Orff-based instruction with singing, xylophone, hand percussion and flutophone). The last two years of that position I managed the entire program including hiring teachers, writing curriculum, and teaching classes myself. I had also consistently held private violin, viola, and guitar students. In both violin and viola I saw my students move up chairs in their orchestras and excel in local, district and state honor orchestras. I sent students to great schools for music like Orange County School of the Arts and Ne
w England Conservatory.

As for my performance career, I have committed to always being a member of an orchestra, band or performing group of some sort because it's my passion and I endeavor to teach from personal experience. Over my last ten years in SoCal I performed with several groups including the Blackbird Music Project, Montage Orchestra and Symphony Irvine. My last year concluded my position as Principal viola of the Dana Point Symphony for four seasons. I was in two bands during my college years. With Galanis I was a part of several Western U.S. tours that took us through California, Arizona, Utah, Idaho and Montana. I have had the privilege of working with artists such as violinist Anne Marie Calhoun, Jimmy Hopper, Andy Grammer and Stevie Nicks. Some of the larger productions I have been a part of include appearances on TV shows like Melrose Place and the Bachelorette, and performances for former President G.W. Bush and at the Governor's Ball for the Academy Awards.

My performance career continues to grow here on the East Coast, where I have lived since August 2015. I have been a member of the McLean Orchestra and have been added to rosters for the Alexandria Symphony, Arlington Philharmonic and Washington Sinfonietta. I currently hold a Bachelor's of Music in Viola Performance from Azusa Pacific University where I studied with Robert Becker, founder of the American String Quartet with a BM and MM in Viola Performance from Juilliard. I am now enrolled as a graduate assistant for my Master's of Music in Viola Performance at the University of Delaware.

When I'm not making music I'm running far, studying nutrition, cooking or spending time with my beloved friends and family!
