Music is all about you. My piano lessons are dedicated to you, refining your abilities, sharpening your ears, and incorporating enhanced levels of creativity. With a background also in composition I have a wide experience in not only performing but writing music, which gets me in close and personal to the inner workings. I have a wide range of knowledge in history and repertoire to engage students outside the realm of normal and often overplayed repertoire.
Especially during major world events, the need for art and mediums where humans can express their emotion are of vital importance. "Practice makes proficiency” - this is true for music as well as life. Mistakes are inevitable but it is mistakes that allow us to grow and achieve greater things. I will patiently and effectively work with you to refine the mistakes and achieve proficiency in your journey through music.
I am extremely personable and am an excellent listener. I graduated from the Hartt School and went to the New

Students will learn how to interpret questions and the sequences to respond to these questions. Sometimes, there is more than one question in an Essay question. You will know how to develop the questions and answer them with examples (if necessary) in order and how to format and organize your short answers. I will assist you in your homework and provide you with tools to respond to the questions appropriately.

I believe everyone can and should make music! For piano lessons, we will focus on different elements of technique and musical expression, such as scales, arpeggios, and hand posture. Depending on each student’s goals, we will work on a song
or songs which could culminate for a recital, audition, achieving specific goals in a specific curriculum or just for fun! I teach beginner through advanced and can also assist students with chord reading, sight singing, piano theory, composing their own music, singing along with themselves while playing the piano, praise music, lead sheets, etc. in addition to traditional piano technique and music. Before I pursued singing full time I was a pianist for 15 years and still professionally play and accompany! Looking forward to working with you!

Hello everyone! I'm a holistic vocal coach who wants to get to the heart of what kind of voice you want to take on and help you get there. With me we'll cover everything from basic vocal techniques, to pronunciation, breathing, reaching the really high or low notes, belting, gravel and beyond. (I can even throw in some classical techniques but I'm not all the way there myself so I'm not quite comfortable teaching it generally)
I'm the kind of person who does everything to 100% and for me, singing is nothing short of a performance so in my class, there will be an emotive facet to my "syllabus". I need to believe you're feeling the emotions the song conveys.
if you want to check out my chops, I have a YT channel: Skykitty Music

Having studied music very seriously, I helped him a little but knew that a real guitar teacher is what he needed. Neil is just what I was looking for! He has a very laid back "attitude" but he's laser focused on keeping things moving, keeping things light, and being totally encouraging. He also is very open to teaching rock and jazz and I can tell he just wants to teach a student whatever style/music type that will keep the student engaged. After every class my son has been satisfied and excited with what he's learning (and I stay and listen and get a kick out of it too). We drive quite a ways to get to his place, but it has been totally worth it. Thanks Neil! You RAWK!!"

As a singer, understanding and utilizing dynamics can turn a mediocre performance into a great one. Read on to learn some singing exercises to practice, as shared by Augustine, FL voice teacher Heather L... Dynamics is a word that comes from the Greek word dynamo, meaning "power." In the context of general music, we use it as a term for how loud or soft sounds are. Dynamics can make or break a song. Frankly, in the world of singing, sometimes the lack of or presence of dynamics can mak …

Sitting down at a piano and playing a few notes is a pretty easy task. However, the ways in which we control the muscles in our hands, arms, and shoulders play a very important role in our ability to play the piano well. If you want to master this instrument, you need to set yourself up for success. Before you can start playing the likes of Mozart and Beethoven on the piano, you should start with building a strong foundation. One way to do so is by incorporating hand exercises for piano …
