College Students! Please contact me for special rates!

Writing is one of the most important skills you can have in our current society. My personal instruction includes, critical thinking skills in writing, philosophy, structure and form. Students will learn by evaluating many different levels of text. They will then progress to developing their own techniques and expanding their current vocabulary.

About Daniel
In addition to teaching music, I have also worked as a special education assistant and wrestling/track coach at Lake Zurich Middle School South and an assistant Kung Fu/Tai Chi instructor at Green Mountain Arts in Logan Square, Chicago, Illinois. Jazz piano, Voice, and Composition are my main areas of expertise. However, I have also been recording, and playing guitar almost my entire life. I fully believe in music education not only for entertainment and personal enjoyment, but for many other means.
Beyond its capacity for being used as entertainment, music aids in learning, helps develop advanced motor skills, increases memory function, and many other purposes for a well rounded education. It is my goal to help educate the next generation in traditional music practices as well as incorporate new techniques that are relevant to our
current day and age.

*** Lesson Details ***
Lesson plans vary from person to person. I always make it a point to get to know the student's existing musical knowledge, goals, and background before I create a personalized lesson plan. All important concepts are covered as they are needed so students can understand theoretical concepts based upon actual application and usage. In short, I teach in a way that students can "dig in" right away and play, create, improvise, sing and/or compose freely and naturally. I always encourage students or parents to contact me with their goals, previous musical training, etc., and discuss what they really want out of lessons so they can get the most out of taking me on as an instructor.

Daniel cancelled my son's first lesson with less than a one hour notice. He attended the second lesson, but again cancelled the third lesson with a 30 minute notice. He sent me a text message to notify me and I called him back and left a voicemail. 24 hours later and I still haven't gotten a call back. I want my money back. He has wasted my son's time. Poor professionalism.

Daniel adapted throughout the course of the hour-long lesson to understand what I already knew and find appropriate ways to fill in the gaps of my knowledge. He also started me on the process of learning a new approach when looking at and learning to play new music pieces.

About Diza
My passions are teaching, helping people and Architectural Technology. I have wanted to teach new skills to willing students since I was in high school, which is why I have been doing my best to get work which exercises that desire. I moved to new york in 2006 to study Architectural Technology, and before that I studied and graduated from kindergarten to high school in french, which is why I love teaching french. I have an Associate in Graphic Design and Architectural Technology, I am going to be receiving a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology in June 2015 from CUNY'S NYC College of Technology, so I can continue towards seeking a Master's degree in the same field.

I have written numerous highly reviewed and ranked papers, primarily in the field of architecture. Architectural history, building technology, and green architecture are a few of the topics that I have previously written about. I know how to grab the reader's attention and keep it throughout the remainder of the piece. Graphics, detailed explanantions, as well as real world examples are a few trick I use to captivate the reader.

About Steven
I'm a recent graduate of the Boston Architectural College, and employed by a large architectural firm in Boston. I am currently teaching a Rhino 3-D course at the BAC I tutor in all aspects of architecture including portfolio design, writing, software tutoring, design critiquing, and overall academic guidance. For software, I specialize in the Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros, and V-Ray. I've tutored students of all differing ages and skill sets, ranging from novice to advanced user. Further, I have numerous references and reviews about my services that I would be happy to pass along, as well as past design work that I have done both academically and professionally. Lastly, I have numerous resources students can use after tutoring sessions are complete such as reference manuals, tutorials, and websites to visit for additional learn

The online AutoCAD class was very helpful. Steven answered all of my questions, and provided good practice tips for starting new files that I didn't even know I needed to know. The hour went by quickly, he kept a good pace, but was sure to answer all the questions so I could take notes and be able to do on my own.

Hannah was the music director at the Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church in Carlisle, Iowa for the past three years, and was a wonderful addition to our congregation! I serve as the pastor of that church, and was always impressed with Hannah's ability to help not only plan the music for worship - this include weekly hymn selections - but also her incredible singing voice and vocal range. She will be missed dearly, and I do not hesitate in the least to recommend her expertise and skills in teaching.
