After Teaching voice for the past few years it's clear that one thing is universal no matter what kind of singer you are: It takes an impressive amount of courage and self awareness to be heard through song. The Voice is one of the highest form of emotional expression, taking the whole body; as the whole body is the instrument. In these lessons we will focus on breath, bring attention to tension, support, and placement of the voice. Giving you the freedom to be heard. I'm excited to work together with you to find your voice.

"The best singers are relaxed in performance. That is they have no extraneous tension. Their muscles are ready to receive the impulse necessary to fulfill action and will ripple with energy."

For the past 5 years I have been teaching cello to beginner and intermediate students of all ages. I started playing when I was 15 years old, so my experience learning the fundamentals of playing cello are still fresh in my mind. This gives me an edge in my teaching when introducing the instrument to my students. I am a member of the Lone Star Philharmonic Orchestra and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Cello from Texas State University. I can help you learn not only how to play the cello, but can ensure that you have a strong handle of the basic fundamentals, note reading, and music theory as well!

About Gabriel

Hello! I'm Gabriel and I began to play the cello when I was 15 years old after watching a metal band perform with only cellos and no guitars. As I began to learn the cello and play in orchestra, I grew to love classical music! I went to school at Texas State University and received two bachelors de

Gabriel is one of the best instructors ever. He found really interesting music for my daughters to play. He also gave them history about different composers and other background info. He taught them a lot of good techniques to help them play better. Overall, he is really inspiring and my daughters advanced a lot. He always went above and beyond. I can't recommend him enough. My daughters loved having him as their violin teacher as he helped them grow fond of music while playing their violins.

"I am honored to be learning from Pandit Nabinji. He is one of the best tabla players. His vast knowledge, expertise, dexterity in playing combined with patience and pleasant personality is a rare and wonderful combination. Each class is combination of technique, wisdom, and soul soothing in an otherwise chaotic and stressful world. I eagerly looked forward to my weekly class. I have always wanted to learn tabla and it took me 35 years to find an excellent teacher and fulfill my dreams!. Many more years with Nabinji on this incredible journey.
Cheers,

"While my son has only taken a few lessons with Marissa, we highly value her instruction. She's prepared, focused, and personable. My son isn't only learning to sing a song. He's learning the art of vocal training. It's amazing to hear his development in only 3 lessons so far. Marissa is definitely a great teacher."

"Andrew is one of the most helpful and genuine instructor I have ever experienced, in my 12 years of playing the trumpet. He not only has helped me develop better, but he helped me understand rhythms and articulations. Additionally, he provides various techniques and exercises that stretch beyond just the instrument itself. Overall, the effort that he puts into his work shows how special of a teacher this man is."

Mr. Kelvin is very enthusiastic every practice, but most importantly he is VERY patient and adaptable to my young daughter's mood...especially for a 5yr old who has a small attention span."

"Thomas has requested that I write a letter of recommendation on his behalf.
Thomas worked as an instructor for Piano Keys 4 Kids from September 2013 to June 2014. As the owner of Piano Keys 4 Kids, I assigned Thomas with duties as an instructor in an after school enrichment program in several public elementary schools. Specifically, Thomas taught children in grades K-3 the basic fundamentals of the piano using a curriculum developed by Piano Keys 4 Kids. His group class time was approximately 1 hour in length. Based on his college class schedule he accepted as many school assignments as possible.
Over the time that I have known Thomas he has consistently performed his duties with competence. Thomas was not only reliable in attending every class he was assigned, but very prompt in delivering an update on the progress of his classes.
With the depth of Thomas' musical skills, he can be an outstanding piano teacher in both the private and group setting.
While Thomas leaving our company to attend graduate school is a loss to us, I have every confidence that Thomas will thrive in graduate studies as well as in his music instructor endeavors. Thomas is an intelligent and committed individual."
