I really enjoyed lessons with Emilie! She is well organized and has a clear lesson plan for each session, with follow up homework and exercises. I learned so much about technique and the "how to" of drawing. Everything she put together was appropriate for my level and included exercises that challenged me to improve. I could tell Emilie is well trained and skilled at drawing. She is also very nice and I felt relaxed and comfortable with her. Her studio is warm and inviting. Overall it was a great experience and I am looking forward to taking some additional lessons with Emilie!

So happy to have found Emilie! I work for a family with a four year old child who is extremely engaged in art and we wanted to find private lessons for her. Emilie has been extremely accommodating and very intentional in making sure we were ready for our first lesson. Will be scheduling more lessons and look forward to her being apart of my charges explorative learning!

"Jessica Maffia is not only a profoundly gifted and skilled professionally trained artist, but she is also a highly intuitive instructor. Jessica will happily meet you exactly where you are in your craft and inspire you to really improve, learn and grow in your drawing. Jessica's decade plus experience as an artist and teacher makes her a perfect instructor for those wanting to take their drawing practice more seriously and begin to master all the elements of this fine art. I have not had a more talented and inspiring instructor; Jessica evinces so much creative passion and artistic integrity that it becomes contagious. I am much better for having worked with her."

"I really love taking painting lessons with Eileen at her studio. First of all, the studio is in an awesome old factory building and has a really cool vibe. Secondly, Eileen knows all kinds of techniques and was really good at settIng up exercises that were simple (not overwhelming or stressful) but still allowed a lot of room for me to experiment with color and brushwork."
