About Andrew
Hi, my name's Andy! I've been playing drums since I was 13 years old. I started out taking professional lessons until I gained enough confidence and foundation to go on to perform with various groups and in live settings. I have toured all over the country and played with very talented musicians from many different genres. At the age of 18 I began teaching drum lessons to others to share my knowledge. I began teaching in my hometown local music store, then moved on to various teaching websites such Reverb.com, Lessons.com, etc. My students have gone on to form musical groups of their own and challenge themselves with live performances. Contact me if you are looking to learn beginner drum techniques, prepare for an audition, brush up your skills, learn your favorite songs, and play the best instrument in the world! I love working with stud
ents of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you! Let's have fun!

Andrew didn't teach me through Reverb, but I made an account just to say how much I appreciate him. His lessons were fun, and worth every penny. I would recommend him to anyone, any age. He taught me drums for 2 years, and it was a blast. He is the most patient, down to earth and funny guy, and his teaching style was so easy to learn from. He is definitely one of a kind!!!

About Christine
I absolutely love music and my goal is to help my students learn to love and appreciate music as well. I am a graduate of Umass Lowell's Music Education program. I began playing at the age of 6 and haven't been able to stop. I've taught private piano for the last 16 years as well as group lessons. Most of my experience is with beginning students, but I teach all levels. My experiences in my past private lessons as well as in the teaching program at Umass have helped me to understand my students and how to help them reach their goals.

*** Lesson Details ***
I work with my students to help them set and achieve their goals. Each lesson is designed and prepped to meet each student's individual needs. I believe in integrating theory, history, ear training, and technique into each lesson to develop musicianship and an overall knowl
edge of the subject rather than just learning to play. I have high expectations for my students, yet I am patient and understanding. At times lessons may be challenging, but they will also be fun!

*** Travel Equipment ***
I expect the students to have a keyboard/piano appropriate to their level of playing for us to have our lesson on. I will provide any books or supplementary material that may be needed. Any books purchased specifically for that student will need to be reimbursed.

*** Specialties ***
Teaching young beginners and elementary age children.

About Victor
My name is Victor and I have been actively teaching cello for the past 4 years. In Ames, IA I had a studio of 8 students, all ranging from different age groups and abilities. I also have experience teaching online lessons, which require a slightly different approach than normal in person lessons. I recently moved to Boston to pursue my masters degree in cello performance at The Boston Conservatory. I am looking forward to building a studio here in Boston! My goal as a teacher is to help you achieve your musical goals. I try my absolute hardest to create a warm and positive environment for all of my students. I understand that all of my students are different and I make sure to create individual lesson plans for each of my students. Not only will you grow as a musician and as a cellist, but I believe that learning an instrument gives us sk
ills that can be beneficial in every aspect of our daily lives. Whether you are new to the cello, picking it back up after some time off, or at a more advanced level, I hope to hear from you! If you have any questions at all, please send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you!

BIO:
Born in Minneapolis, MN, Victor Mooney began playing cello at the age of 7. While in Minneapolis he studied with Tom Austin, former member of the Minnesota Opera. Victor completed a Bachelor of Music Performance degree from Iowa State University, where he studied with George Work. Upon graduation he was awarded the Outstanding Senior in Music award, the highest honor the Music Department at Iowa State gives. While in undergrad he also received a scholarship for excellence in performance. In the fall of 2015, Victor pursued a Master's of Music degree in Cello Performance at The Boston Conservatory, where he studied with Andrew Mark. He has participated in master classes with Anthony Ross, Tanya Remenikova, Narek Hakhnazaryan, Hong Wang, Bruce Uchimura, Wes Baldwin, Theodore Buckholz, and Joshua Koestenbaum. From 2013 to 2015 he played regularly with the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra. While at Iowa State University he had the opportunity to sit Principle Cello in both the Iowa State University Symphony Orchestra and the Iowa State University Chamber Orchestra. Along with teaching privately in his Boston Studio, Victor also teaches for the Brookline Adult and Community Education Center. Outside of music, Victor enjoys reading, cooking, watching hockey and soccer, and visiting with family and friends in Minnesota.

As a 40 year old beginner I was a little nervous about the whole online experience as well as starting a new instrument. Victor makes the online teaching experience seamless. Victor is calm, thoughtful and patient. He always finds a way to explain something in a way that relates to me specifically. To do this someone must be able to listen as well as teach. This is quality I have not found in all of my teachers/instructors/coaches throught the years. Victor is also easily the most flexible of any teacher I have had. He always finds a way to accommodate my schedule and works around any issues that arise. I have really enjoyed my learning experience thus far and look forward to each lesson. I would not hesitate to recommend Victor to anyone looking to learn the cello.

I was a pianist and oboist in my early life, and now in my 40s decided that I'd love to learn to play the cello. Victor is a really wonderful teacher. He's very patient, very calm, and very responsive. Whenever I would message him, he'd respond within a few hours, and often he'd respond right away. He was very flexible when schedules changed. Whenever I would run into problems or issues with a new technique, he would find resources, such as videos, to help describe it more fully. I've had many music teachers over the years and Victor is absolutely one of the best.

Johnny is experienced in teaching cello. His lessons are always passionate, musical, and informative. There are several aspects of his lessons that I'd like to share.

1. Full of Content: He delivers enough details of a new technique with simplification for an easy understanding.
2. Learning Curve: By breaking down and reorganizing the knowledge, he teaches new concepts step by step, from approachable actions to efficient actions.
3. Customization: He helps you find out a suitable solution to grow on the techniques based on your own physical and cognitive characteristics.
4. Experimentation: The correct ways he suggests you do is demonstrated by experimenting with different ways for comparison, which you would not only know what to do but know the reason behind it.

Cello is a beautiful yet complicated instrument. To enjoy it, a great mentorship is necessary and truly valued.

About Inna
Hello, and thank you for your interest!

My name is Inna, I'm a jazz and world vocalist, pianist and composer.

I come from family of musicians, and I have started exploring music since the age of 5. In addition to my classical studies in Russia, I won the only full tuition scholarship to study in famous Berklee College of Music in the competition that took place during Berklee Asia Scholarship Tour in 2010.

In Berklee I was deeply influenced and moved by Eastern European and Middle Eastern music, which lead to experimentations in fusing those genres with modal jazz and then later rock.

I studied Vocal Performance, and Contemporary Writing and Production, and I have over a decade of experience in teaching, and performing, so I look forward to working with you to develop your voice, piano, and composing/arranging skills!

Cur
rently I teach from my home studio in Boston, and I'm also available to come to your location.

I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

I believe that we can come together and use community music as a vehicle to address some of the global challenges that we’re facing today. Every single person in the world deserves to be treated with respect, kindness, laughter and love. Art shows us all of the good that humans are capable of and we can move forward through divisive times. It's up to all of us to do a better job communicating, collaborating, and educating each other. The arts should be a safe space with an equal platform available to all for sharing ideas and I've committed my life to making the world a better place through music.

I received my bachelor's degree in Trombone Performance from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2013. Since then, I have been one of the founding members of a 27 piece punk/funk brass band out of Lowell, MA known as "The Party Band"
as well as a 9 piece funk cover band out of Boston, MA called "PK and the Mighty Seven." When I'm not practicing, freelancing, or teaching I enjoy hanging out on the porch with the neighborhood cats.

About Fae
Welcome! I'm a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter in East Boston. I teach a wide range of skills, including piano, guitar, mandolin, singing, songwriting, and music recording / production. All ages and levels are welcome! Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen existing skills, you'll be surprised how fast you can improve. I teach music that you care about, whether that's Elliott Smith or Carly Rae Jepsen or the Undertale soundtrack or your own song ideas. Come see what you can accomplish!

I base my teaching on the three pillars of music learning:

Enthusiasm -- you learn best when you care about what you're learning. I don't use a one-size-fits-all curriculum; I help you learn the music you love, no matter what it is. Ever wanted to play Zelda songs on a real ocarina? Let's make it happen!

Confidence -- the most
valuable thing you can have as a musician isn't virtuosic technique, it's comfort and confidence in your own skills. That confidence opens the door to deeper musical expression that connects with listeners, and it is possible at every level. I write custom song arrangements for you so you can feel good about sharing music with others, no matter where you're starting from.

Growth -- every song has something to teach you, but when you're starting out it's hard to know where to focus. I write exercises targeted to your specific skills, so you can start improving right away!

If you want to know more I'd love to hear from you. Adult beginners welcome!
