Steve is an excellent teacher! I always look forward to my classes. I am a student in high school, and he fully understands my need to balance my school work with piano, and he makes sure that I am able to comfortably commit to both aspects of my life. Steve makes sure that I stay on task and that I am progressing with my piano skills all while making the lessons fun and enjoyable.

I tailor my teaching approach to my individual students' needs, and help my students pursue the piano at the speed and level of intensity they desire. I am as happy to help beginners take casual lessons as I am to help more advanced students prepare for recitals and auditions. I believe that a varied dose of repertoire with a sprinkling of scales and exercises is essential to any pianist's success. Most importantly, I help my students develop musicality alongside their technical skills.

About Elias

Hello! My name is Elias, I'm a professional pianist, cellist, and orchestra and opera conductor, and I couldn't be more excited to be taking piano, cello, and conducting students of all ages and levels. No matter what you're hoping to get out of your studies, I couldn't be happier to help you along

Elias has been my piano teacher for 5 months and a half. He's very kind, patient, methodical and detail oriented. With his continuous help, I went from zero to playing minuets by Bach and Mozart with ease. I also learned to play scales, arpeggios, progressions and a lot of music theories along the way. In my opinion, what sets him apart is not only does he teaches you how to play, but also teaches you how to phrase music with lines, contrasts, crescendos and decrescendos, making "real" music. I really cannot thank him enough for my progress, and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to play great music!

Hello! I began studying piano when I was 4 through the Suzuki method and started teaching when I moved to San Francisco to start school. I am dedicated to the Suzuki method and believe in it; in case you're unfamiliar with the Suzuki method, it's a way of approaching music that focuses on fundamentals, developing the ear, and learning through emulation rather than solely on reading and theory. As someone who was taught by a more traditional teacher who was a strict adherent to the Suzuki method timeline, I have found myself to be much more flexible teacher who really wants to structure the lessons around the student to maximize an enjoyable relationship with the piano and music. For adults, of course, we start looking at reading pretty much from the beginning whereas for children, we steer clear of reading for a bit. I have a dog and two cats who are super friendly and who love to sit and listen to the piano lessons (I have had a few students who are scared) - just FYI! Looking ...

I can help those, who are new to the instrument, to become familiar with scales, progressions, technique, reading, and musical styles. I enjoy helping students find their voices and tastes by using videos and music that inspires them. If students already have some songs that they wish to learn, I can help them achieve those goals, as well.

About Tracy

"Mr. Rossi was the organist and pianist for Our Lady of Lourdes church. He has many years of experience of playing the organ and piano. Mr. Rossi is a great instructor. He understands your skills with piano and sets the lesson to your abilities. Mr. Rossi teaches music theory and not just memorization of songs. Mr. Rossi is very patient too. Mr. Rossi also knows a lot of great books for piano and he uses these in his lessons. He is also very flexible with schedule. I learned a lot of piano skills from Mr. Rossi. He is a great piano teacher."

He has kept her captivated with piano and fueled her love for all music in general. Students are treated respectfully and he makes piano fun for them. "Fawn has been teaching my 3 kids piano for about 2 1/2 years. They have advanced to a very high level within that time. She comes to our house once a week for about 2 hours each time. Fawn is professional, fun, positive, outgoing, funny, responsible, reliable, strict and punctual. Although she is extremely busy, she has rarely ever been late or had to reschedule. Fawn is a serious, yet fun teacher, and the kids learn a lot from her and they all adore her."
