Janet really put me at ease as I was a bit nervous. She identified areas where I was reasonably strong and areas where we should strive for improvement, and (what seemed to me) innovative ways to achieve improvement. I'm really looking forward to my next lesson!

My son loved his 1st lesson, and is looking forward to more.

Janet loves music, loves teaching, and loves people. You will not find a more dedicated and compassionate teacher of the arts. In the 14 years that I have known Janet, music, teaching, and family has been her priority. Her skills continuously grow as she has explored music in many different settings such as early childhood music, piano accompaniment, and choir singing.

Adam is a wonderful guitar instructor. He is very knowledgable and he is always calm, patient and very encouraging. He taught me a lot of ways to practice and enjoy music. Thank you Adam! I would highly recommend!
Kristin
I took acoustic guitar lessons with Adam and he was a wonderful teacher. I had little knowledge of the guitar and felt I developed my skills quickly. Adam was patient, nice and came up with fun exercises and song selections. Would highly recommend Adam as a teacher!
Julie
Adam’s superpowers as a guitar teacher are commitment and a calm demeanor. It was clear from my first lesson that Adam was singularly dedicated to my advancement even at times when my dedication wavered. I was able to successfully learn a Death Can for Cutie song that I had loved for years (I will follow you into the dark). Though i had taken lessons in the past, i felt i had the most chemistry with Adam’s thoughtful approach to teaching guitar. Our lessons were fun and laced with lighthearted humor. I moved to NYC and Adam was 100% committed to ensuring our lessons continued via Skype. Unfortunately the move was a big life change that refocused my priorities. I wish that Adam lived in NY so we could continue playing together!

"Niki is an outstanding piano teacher. She began teaching my daughter when she was 9 years old, and after 3 years of lessons, I am extremely pleased with how well my daughter plays the piano. Niki makes learning piano fun and interesting for children by allowing them to choose some of their own popular pieces. Her teaching style is the perfect balance of friendly and encouraging, yet very professional with an emphasis on progress. She sets high expectations and inspires her students through her own love of music. I would highly recommend Niki to any student fortunate enough to work with her."

"Dave is the absolute “best” teacher I have ever had! I’m an older (69) student and his techniques amaze me. I’m learning things I have never been exposed to and so wish I had had a teacher like Dave when I was 10...maybe I would be able to play! Thanks Dave!"

My 9 year old son has been working with Teresa for over a year and she has managed to keep him interested and engaged throughout that time. She goes above and beyond with me in regards to my funky custody schedule always managing to see us once a week. We are lucky to have her in our life."

"Alex is very patient and able to adapt to her students. I studied with her for a year and also got to see other students work with her and she always had a way of getting each student to accomplish their goals. I think when you look for a teacher, you really are looking for someone to teach you how to learn. So many teachers tell you something or tell you what to do but never help you develop a skillset. Alex is different in that she absolutely focuses on developing a fundamental process so that each student not only learns but knows how to learn. As a result, there is progress I can see immediately, of course, but also years down the road. If you're looking for a teacher seriously, consider someone who will make a lasting impact and will make you a better overall person— not just tell you to do something and move on. Alex is a teacher who, regardless if you pursue music, you will come out better because of her teachings. Highly recommend!"

"My son's lessons with Alex began in-home before he moved to TX, while he still lived in Ohio. My son developed a great bond with Alex and became a wonderful pianist!! It was really tough to say goodbye to Alex last summer. He was so gracious in helping us find a new teacher before he left. We have been with this teacher since, but she is unable to do virtual lessons during quarantine. So we're back with Alex :) After a month of doing weekly virtual classes, I can confidently say I see the same effectiveness in the lessons in-person and virtually. Alex is so wonderful at teaching music and communicating with kids. My son understands what Alex is guiding him on and improves during the practices throughout the week based on his words. I can't say enough good things about him!!"

The results of Angie's positive, patient and encouraging approach exceeded our expectations.
