*****Before you sign up*****

There are three simple things you need to know about my tutoring program.
1. No matter what your reasons for learning a foreign language are, ultimately it's a part of your SELF DEVELOPMENT. Treat it as such.
2. I don't believe in "good or bad with languages" stereotype. I have taught for many years and learnt that everyone is "language talented" when they actually want to speak a new language. And if you are one of them I garantie that my method will work for you.
3. My program might appear quite different from the ones you have tried or seen before and goes beyond simple grammar and vocabulary presentation. Also prepare to be challenged at every step of the way and the further you will get the more fun and exciting it will be.

*****My Students*****

For over 6 years of professional experie
nce as Russian/French/ESL teacher, I have worked with all types of students with different learning styles and various goals: taught within U.S. public education institutions, provided private classes for children and adults, developed and implemented individualized syllabus for diplomats, high rank executives at multinational companies, employees of U.S. Embassy and Department of State.

Thanks to all my students, current and former, I am now confident that every individual, willing to learn one of the languages I teach, without a doubt, has everything it takes to succeed when the right approach is applied during the learning process and that is when your classes are comprehensible, interesting and engaging.

*****Program features*****

It is one on one program, thouroughtly personalized and organized according to your interests (general and professional), schedule, final goals, learning style and many other important elements to be taken into account.

Each session is 50 minutes.

Every session is prepared to reach a particular goal and structured in the way to have a maximum profit from "teacher - student" part of learning. Supporting materials are sent after each session: grammar notes, retention exercises, homework assignments, audio and video files as phonetic exercises and listening practice. The content of these materials is permanently tested and modified in order to achieve the best way to engage each individual student's language acquisition mechanisms.

Teacher's support 24/7.

Extra curricula content: idiomatic language components, cultural studies (traditions, history, literature, cinema and language related etymology), recommendations for independent language practice.

The way I see it, with each new student - there is a new process in my head that starts and constantly creates and improves techniques, ideas, method components, teaching style e.t.c for getting this particular student to do the best he or she can.

Roman was very patient. Having never spoken another language before, it felt very foreign - pun intended. He was very innovative in thinking of ways to help me remember things.

Chryssa has been an amazing teacher so far! She really knows how to teach a difficult language without overwhelming a beginner learner but while still moving at a pace that is comfortable and productive. Chryssa is patient and good at identifying what is difficult for you. I would recommend Chryssa to anyone wanting to learn Greek.

I am a native, English-speaking teacher, certified in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL/ESL), and have been teaching ESL for 13 years, both here in the USA and abroad (Japan and Colombia, South America). I am also a licensed, high school, English teacher in New Jersey, and my combined teaching experience is 20 years.

When teaching ESOL/ESL, I work with my students on their overall diction for speaking: pronunciation, articulation, enunciation, intonation, grammatical accuracy and vocabulary development.

For writing, I focus on grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, usage of the appropriate tones for whom the work is being addressed and syntax, or mechanics (the way the sentences are constructed for logic and clarity).

When doing reading with my students, I do decoding and comprehension exercises and activities to ensure that they have understood what they read, and included in the discussion is to help the students understand how what they read is ...

About Analita
I am a native, English-speaking teacher, certified in both Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL/ESL), and English Language Arts (ELA-writing and literature). My combined teaching experience is 20 years, and I have been teaching both here in the USA and abroad (Japan and Colombia, South America). I have been working in ESL for 13 years, and before doing this I taught English writing and literature at a public, magnet, high school for gifted and talented students in downtown Jersey City, New Jersey called Dr. Ronald McNair Academic High School. These students typically graduate to some of the most well-respected learning institutions in the world, such as Harvard and Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) in Massachusetts.

My ESL teaching experience includes having worked with all ages, English levels and with quit
e a few nationalities. For example, in Japan, I worked with kindergartners to senior-level executives at the Toshiba headquarters in Kitakami City, Iwate-ken. And in Bogota, Colombia, I taught Spanish-speaking, business professionals how to acquire the levels of English necessary for their careers. Some of the industries they come from include accounting, oil and gas, hospitality and tourism and government.

Before working with these adults in Bogota, I worked at an international, bi-lingual school for 1 year, called Anglo-Colombiano, teaching English writing and literature to high school students. At this school, too, the students graduate to the same level of schools as McNair students, in addition to other similar schools found in Canada and Europe.

When I teach ESL, I use the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach, because it is highly interactive and facilitates student communication. In other words it demands that students get a lot of practice in all of the 4 English language skills. In conjunction with CLT, I guide my students towards the use of purposeful, authentic language that is used in daily communication, whether it be for academic or professional purposes (task-based language teaching and learning).

In addition to teaching the 4 English language skills, I also prepare students to sit the IELTS's exams -- both the academic and the general training. Some of my students live throughout the United States and others live outside of the country.

I am also a member of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL), based in Faversham, Kent, England, and of TESOL International, based in Alexandria, Virginia, USA.

I am an author, yoga teacher and have supported students with life and emotional challenges for over a decade. I have a bachelors in Anthropology, a 120 hour ESL certificate, and am well- traveled. I love teaching and connecting. Let's begin!

About Laurel
I am a natural teacher and communicator. I connect well with my students and love watching them learn and grow! It's rare to meet people who are open, aware and with whom we are truly comfortable. Yet we integrate far better when we are in calm, non-judgmental environments with intelligent company that we can relate with and enjoy. I look forward to working with you!

I have been teaching for the past 2 years and generally look forward to any type of work with students. I personally have been through the ESL experience many years ago and will totally understand your mistakes :). I am very understanding and patient and will work with you with whatever topic, and will give my best to get you to your desired goal!

About Andrea
I am a current student in Boston University in College of Communication. I come from Serbia, and although Serbian is my first language, I have been speaking English for over 10 years not. Not only that, but I have attended boarding schools in the States, as well as continuing my education in an American university.

I have worked with students learning english mid-way through my high school, mainly with the internationals needing improvement in the spheres of conversational English, as well as academic writing.
Generally, I love working with people and teaching them what I know, especially in the language department, as I think good knowledge of English is much needed today.

That being said, it would be my pleasure to help any of you in any department of English, or if you want to practice just by talking to me. I was in your shoes on
ce, and I completely understand what you're going through. Because of that, I think it will be easy for us to connect and for me to teach you to the best of my abilities! :)
