I've been playing piano since I've been 4 years old and I still love it. I can teach in multiple styles to multiple levels. My focus is on keeping my students inspired while also teaching them the building blocks it takes to be a good pianist!

About Isaac
I started playing piano when I was four and was trained classically. I went to Berklee College of Music to try out different styles of playing. I learned a lot about blues and jazz and I played in an indie-folk-rock band on the side! I've been teaching piano lessons since high school, and after Graduating from Berklee College of Music, I decided to teach in Los Angeles. I also compose on the side!

*** Lesson Details ***
I like my lessons to be collaborative and fun. My students have input on what they would like to play, and I try to find the best practice routine that works for them. But I also make sure to include technique and theory in any way I can, to get my students off to a good start.

Take lessons with me if you would like to learn fast by being inspired!

The learning environment will be laid back and fun, with the student and teacher setting goals together, and reasonable expectations will be held for both the student and teacher.

Students will have the opportunity to learn to play music by composers such as Mozart and Bach. Experienced piano teacher of 20+ years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! Learn what you want to learn and have fun while you do it.

About Joseph
Joey aka CelloJoe is an anomaly in the world of cellists.

By combining cello with beatboxing, he has created a unique genre: Classical Hip Hop.

CelloJoe records live on stage with a loop pedal and produces intricate tapestries of harmony, melody, and rhythm. His beatboxing (vocal percussion) and funky cello grooves form a rich soundscape for intelligent lyrics and his music spreads love, joy, laughter and conscious vibrations.

By beatboxing, throatsinging, singing, plucking and bowing the cello, CelloJoe can mimic many styles of music from dubstep to folk to rock to classical to hip hop.

CelloJoe is the world's first long distance musical bike touring cellist.
He has ridden his bike over 10,000 miles in the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Australia.

Joey has been a great cello teacher. I like the fact that his experience covers a broad range of music. When I want to make an arrangement of a heavy metal song, or I need to learn the nuance of baroque performance, he's there.
He's a working musician so his schedule is somewhat variable, but he is good about communicating and always comes when he says he will. He's personable and enthusiastic.

Our daughter is taking lessons with Doniell and after every lesson is thrilled to share her experiences. Doniell has been exceedingly accomodating of our schedule, making it absolutely pleasant to work with her. We are a homeschool family and she offered time outside of evening hours. We had several illnesses and issues with travel during the snow this past winter and she has always been understanding and patient with rescheduling. Our daughter is very enthusiastic about piano and many things in life, we are thankful we have Doniell to guide her as she continues to develop a passion for music.

Some teachers teach you how to read black dots on a page. Others help you to make music beyond the printed page. Having studied with Mark for a number of years, I can attest to Mark's ability not only as a fabulous musician himself, but as a teacher who helps others go "off the page" to discover the heart of musical expression. He is a gift!

Angela worked with our son for almost ten years and really helped mold him into a wonderful musician. She was always patient, but also firm in expecting him to practice and use his whole lesson time wisely. She is also very flexible in scheduling, which is always helpful when one has a busy child. The only reason my son stopped lessons was that he ended up getting a part-time job in his sophomore year and we just couldn't find time to work piano into his schedule. I know he misses it. We would definitely recommend Angela if you are looking for a piano instructor.

Ms. Kamiila is a great teacher that I have never met. The first time I saw she played piano for students to sing and helped students practice before their Christmas' s rehearsal, I know she will be the best teacher for my son. Her passion for music is unbelievable. My seven year old son has been her student for over three month now. I can see his improvement and enjoy in learning piano more. She is a very patient and nice teacher. She also pays attention to details about his poster and how to use his hands correctly, which I think it is very important for the first piano learner. She is very organized. She always informed me as a parent the lesson my son learned each session and emailed me his homework. Teacher is always the most important for the kids, so I would highly recommend Ms Kamiila to you. She is the best teacher, and your kids will love to be her students.
