My name is Maggie. I recently earned my Master's degree in string performance at Boston University. I have won many prizes as a soloist. As an orchestra musician, I have been playing for 10 years. I have been working as a music teacher for 9 years. I have taught violin, viola and beginner piano lessons. I love developing students love for music. I greatly enjoy teaching music students and sharing my love for music with them.
Because of my experiences and education, I am able to assess easily what each student needs and how to help them achieve their goals.

What makes French lesson unique is because it is a beautiful and complex language. Its pronunciation and sound are amazing. My students will learn the vocabulary, verbs, adjectif, adverb, and grammar combined together to help them understand and build their own French sentences with confidence. I learned French from High School for more than 12 years. I can speak it, read it and write it. I will teach with empathy meaning that I will use my strategies into my students shoes to help them understand and succeed.

Due to my enthusiasm for Foreign languages, I am fluent in French and can read Russian, German, and Spanish. French was my minor and chemistry was my major. I was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society based on my achievements in the fields of chemistry and French. I have also enhanced my fluency in French by traveling abroad, including residing in France at the University of Poitiers as well as traveling abroad to Paris, Brussels, and Calais. I look forward to spreading my enthusiasm for foreign languages to others.

Portuguese (português or, in full, língua portuguesa)[nb 1] is a Romance language and the sole official language of Portugal, Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, and São Tomé and Príncipe.[4] It also has co-official language status in Macau (China), Equatorial Guinea and East Timor. As the result of expansion during colonial times, Portuguese speakers are also found in Goa, Daman and Diu in India;[5] in Batticaloa on the east coast of Sri Lanka, in the Indonesian island of Flores ; and in Malacca in Malaysia.

I have been teaching for 24 years. My teaching style focuses on communication and exchange from the beginning with a solid foundation on the formal aspects too. I favor individual differences and the student's own pace of learning. Debate and discussion are an important part of my teaching style in the intermediate and advanced levels.
I favor a friendly atmosphere with meaningful exchange throughout my lessons.
