I have Doctorate in Piano Performance with Minor in Theory. I know many different composition techniques, advanced harmony and theory.

About Anastasia

After Anastasia’s Carnegie Hall Debut in 2006, the New York Concert Review wrote: "For a critic, hearing a new pianist with a truly warm, luscious tone is like breathing in the scent of jasmine blooming - a pleasure to be recalled again and again - and so I'm happy to report that from the first not

As an adult beginner, I chose Anastasia for more personalized instruction, especially in technique, after learning the basics through community center group lessons. I have not continued only because another equally well-qualified instructor who lives close by, within walking distance, has become available. I am very pleased with the lessons and pointers that I have received. Anastasia is professional, encouraging, and friendly. An especially helpful part of her instruction is the set of comments and suggestions that she writes down to guide practice between lessons. If the neighbor instructor does not work out, I’ll be back.

I strive to treat each student equally no matter how advance the student are. My job as a teacher is to provide students a tool in life. Students will learn the way life works through the art of music. Should the students decide to pursue music or not in the future, I only hope that students will apply what they've learned in music to their everyday problem solving.

About Johnny

Johnny received his Bachelors of Music at the University of Alabama, under the tutelage of Carlton McCreery, and a Masters of Music at The Boston Conservatory with Andrew Mark. Johnny made his debut performance in 2011, performing Dvorak's Cello Concerto with Albuquerque Youth Symphony under the di

Johnny is experienced in teaching cello. His lessons are always passionate, musical, and informative. There are several aspects of his lessons that I'd like to share.

1. Full of Content: He delivers enough details of a new technique with simplification for an easy understanding.
2. Learning Curve: By breaking down and reorganizing the knowledge, he teaches new concepts step by step, from approachable actions to efficient actions.
3. Customization: He helps you find out a suitable solution to grow on the techniques based on your own physical and cognitive characteristics.
4. Experimentation: The correct ways he suggests you do is demonstrated by experimenting with different ways for comparison, which you would not only know what to do but know the reason behind it.

Cello is a beautiful yet complicated instrument. To enjoy it, a great mentorship is necessary and truly valued.

I love what I do! Musical theater students learn to be singers who act. Teaching philosophy: everyone is born with a voice and has the ability to learn to sing regardless of age. Students at all levels including adult beginners welcome. Vocal range, control & tone quality will improve learning correct technique and safeguarding the instrument through correct care/use. I have a background in theater myself and I work with many styles of music.

Roberta is everything you would want in a teacher. She is exceptionally talented herself and knows how to share her knowledge with others. She is especially very kind and nurturing in an environment which could be quite intimidating for a beginner like me. You can tell she truly enjoys teaching and gets excited to see her pupil learn. I have learned so much in a short time.

I've been teaching cello for more than 3 years and work with students of all ages and levels. In your first month of playing, you'll learn proper instrument posture, instrument parts, note names, how to read Bass Clef and how to play beginning tunes. Once your notes are learned, we'll introduce your bow. From there, things really take off! Each lesson you can expect to work on a scale, an etude (technique exercise) and at least one piece or song.

I’m a professional singer with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in vocal performance. I have extensive experience with both musical theatre and Opera but will teach any genre. I was a vocal TA to over 30 students at the University of Illinois and have developed an understanding of how to develop a student’s personal style. I also taught privately in Jacksonville where I received a minor in education. My course credits include italian, German, and French diction, pedagogy, vocal literature, musical theatre history, and opera history and I’ve worked with singers such as Nathan Gunn, Michelle DeYoung, Susan Graham, and Jerold Siena in order to develop my unique perspective and Style as a singer and educator.

About Michaela

I believe that anyone can learn to sing if they apply the principles of classical technique and practice good breath support/healthy tone production. I also believe it’s very important to apply the principles of characterization to any genre. Understanding and interpreting the lyrics/text is essent

She made an effort to focus on songs and techniques that I wanted to work on. When I didn't understand a concept she explained it in a different way and truly helped expand my knowledge in both the classical and musical theater styles. Michaela is a wonderful teacher!

"Neil is a great piano teacher. I took many years of lessons growing up and then stopped playing the piano for 10 years. I picked it up a year ago learning new pieces and hit a "wall" where I wasn't able to improve myself, so I wanted to find a teacher that could help. Neil has been great - proactively pointing out areas where I tense up or could use a different fingering, suggesting helpful sight reading pieces, and even helping me find a better keyboard for my own practice at home. He has a lot of experience and good advice."

"Nancy is an incredible teacher. She is attentive to all aspects of her students' lives and makes her students feel capable and prioritized. I had left music behind for some time when I met Nancy. I was classically trained as a child, performed throughout my teens everywhere from China to Radio City Music Hall. When I didn't get into my dream collegiate music program, I abandoned voice. Nancy has not only improved my technique immeasurably, she has reminded me why I love to sing. Our lessons are one of the best parts of my week."
