Medford Performing Arts Lessons for Kids

Experienced former professional ballet dancer, and specializing in the beginner/intermediate ballet classes. Everyone is welcome from kids to adults.
Lessons are customized to the needs/goals of the students.

I can teach beginners, starting from the basics to help you build a strong foundation of theory and technique.
For advanced levels we would work on your technique, posture, and artistic expression. We can work on some dances/variations if you are preparing for a competition or a performance.

As part of voice and piano lessons, students are trained to entertain and be comfortable in front of an audience. They receive coaching on stage presence, stage etiquette, movement, slating, speech projection and more.

Build your confidence and gain newfound comfort while performing on any stage, for any audience, at any time! Prep yourself for stage performance through vocal technique, speech, diction, and movement. Whether it be singing, acting, or hosting a conference, I want you to find YOUR voice and feel at ease.

I have 20-plus years of experience as an acting teacher and have helped many students succeed in their auditions. I have experience in both stage and film acting, as well as in musical theatre performance. My focus is on helping students achieve believable and compelling performances that directors will remember. I also know the ins and outs of the business and can help students learn the ropes of the business side of "THE BIZ."

I have been teaching for over 15 years and specializes in working with students from the most beginner to the most advanced. I made my professional debut at age 16 as a ballet dancer before switching to modern dance and then finding musical theater and I'm currently working on Broadway. I love teaching musical theater, ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and modern classes. I also love helping my students find their artistic voice through choreography classes. Let's dance together!

Her professional stage credits span over an impressive 45 years, starring in world and regional premieres, classic revivals and active in new play development. In 1979 she pioneered a regional theatre Twickenham Repertory Company in Alabama under a CETA grant. The company is now celebrating its 35th season as Theatre Huntsville.

Kim recently played Ethel in the World Premiere of The Worth of Water in NYC, Coral in Doublewide, Susan in Becky Shaw, Greer in 7 Homeless Mammoths Wander New England and Vivian Bearing, Ph.D. in her 5th production of Wit, this time at the Palladium Theatre for American Stage. Other recent roles include Mag in The Beauty Queen of Leenane for Banyan Theatre and Prime Minister Golda Meir to standing ovations in the Atlanta premiere and FST Sarasota productions of the 22 character, one-woman show Golda's Balcony.
