Music theory is an important part of understanding music whether composing or performing. I studied music theory into my graduate performance degree because understanding theory informs your performance. Music theory has allowed me to perform solo and orchestral repetoire at a higher level on my primary instrument.

I can teach students theory, harmony, ear training, improvisation, how to play their favorite songs, how to create their own music, and how to read both tablature and sheet music.

About Chase

I started playing guitar when I was in the 8th grade. At that time I was into punk, and as I got older I moved into listening to classic rock, then blues, then all sorts of jazz and jam bands, and now classical and sacred art. And my playing of the guitar has following the same trajectory: I play

Chase and I did not work together long because of other commitments. However, in the short time we did work together I learned a lot. Chase is easy going, highly skilled, very patient, and his teaching style is such that it fosters student confidence. I was really nervous at first, because I wasn't sure what to expect. Chase quickly made me feel at ease during the lesson. We only had half hour lessons, but that was definitely enough time to learn new materiel and make progress. I highly recommend him for guitar lessons.

My son is 7 and really seems to like Chase. He came well prepared and finally someone has started to teach him some rock songs .

An Excellent Teacher!

Our daughter Charis has taken lessons from Chase for over 2 years. From the first lesson, his patient demeanor put her completely at ease. During that time we have seen her understanding of music and her love for guitar continue to grow.

Chase has a unique way of challenging his students to stretch in their ability while simultaneously making it a great deal of fun. I would absolutely recommend him to both the new and seasoned student alike.

After Teaching voice for the past few years it's clear that one thing is universal no matter what kind of singer you are: It takes an impressive amount of courage and self awareness to be heard through song. The Voice is one of the highest form of emotional expression, taking the whole body; as the whole body is the instrument. In these lessons we will focus on breath, bring attention to tension, support, and placement of the voice. Giving you the freedom to be heard. I'm excited to work together with you to find your voice.

"The best singers are relaxed in performance. That is they have no extraneous tension. Their muscles are ready to receive the impulse necessary to fulfill action and will ripple with energy."
Kristin Linklater

The violin has been a constant and enriching presence throughout my life, and I enjoy helping people engage with this instrument that is demanding and rewarding in equal measure. No matter your age or level of expertise, I would be happy to help you along as you discover new musical territory. I’m most fluent in the classical style, but am happy to explore other areas with you as well, from bluegrass to Broadway.

About Kris

I have been teaching the violin to students of all ages and abilities for close to twenty years, and have had great satisfaction in seeing them all grow and develop over time. Some of my younger students have gone on to the Interlochen Arts Camp, and one of my former adult students still makes an

I'm a beginner guitar player that likes to sing. My guitar teacher suggested I try some singing lessons--he said it would also help with ear training-- and since I had more time in my hands thanks to 2020, I thought, why not give it a try? I was nervous for my first lesson with Omer. I felt awkward going in since I'm not really a performer, but Omer put me right at ease. He's super friendly and patient. He's been great at going over different breathing and vocal exercises. I thought being remote might be weird for singing lessons, but it's not at all. Would def recommend lessons with Omer!

Excellence!
As a performer for many years, I have worked with quite a few voice development teachers. When I met Omer Shaish, I felt like I was finally upgrading myself as a singer. In addition to his charming personality, I came across professionalism, patience and lots of passion to teach and help.
Highly recommend to anyone who really wants to develop their technique.
Omer is the right teacher!
Best of luck !

I came to Omer with some problems with support and breathing; at that point, I'd been practicing by myself for some months.

Omer was amazingly helpful! He supplied lots of useful exercises, gave useful and encouraging feedback, and tailored the exercises to what I needed most at any given time.

Would highly recommend.

"Mr. Gallo has taught me musically for almost 7 years and I have been taking lessons with him now for almost 6. In my opinion, he is one of the best music instructors I have ever worked with. He is wise, informative, understanding, and flexible with scheduling lessons. He makes sure to do what is best for his students. Without him, I wouldn't be the musician I am today. From having to deal with the physical problems and even improving my musicianship, Mr. Gallo has been able to steer me in the right direction with advice from his past years of teaching and playing. Even after marching in the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps for the past two summers, I have always resorted back to taking lessons with Mr. Gallo. With his help, I have been able to play the highest ranked solos and earned the highest evaluation in my state's Solo and Ensemble events. Now, I am a senior in high school and I feel very confident with my decisions of pursuing music in the future. I highly recommend Mr. Gallo as a trumpet, brass, and even music teacher."
