I was a self-taught guitar player until i studied music at UMASS Lowell where i learned about reading music and theory. I can give a unique approach to teaching by utilizing aspects of ear training and note recognition. I also have much experience in improvisation from studying jazz and playing in an improvisational band where listening and reacting to one another are key. I also go through lesson books such as the Suzuki books up to the real book.

About Tyler

I am a very passionate music teacher, it's really who I am. I thrive off of opening the doors of music to people and teaching them a foundation upon which to grow. I graduated from UMASS Lowell with a Bachelors in Music Performance in 2014 and have 6 years of teaching experience in and around the

Been meeting with Tyler for 4 lessons now and cannot give anything but the highest praise for him. Before we began we set the outline for what
I wanted to do and how he could help - the planning was good but the execution far exceeded anything I could hope for. His insight, technical ability, and highly positive attitude makes him the perfect partner to "re-introduce" me to the guitar (35+ year break in playing). Cons: initially opted for 1/2 hour lesson - too short. Pros: understands my goals, appreciates the musical genre that is important to me, great balance between teaching during the lesson and giving me things to work on on my own, very positive and encouraging attitude....and many more "pros". My suggestion is - if you are thinking of going with him give him a call - very easy to talk to and you will likely find out what I have found - Tyler is top notch!!

I really like the approach that Guilherme has. He understands the philosophy of teaching music to children. My son is amazed by his technique.

Guilherme has been extremely flexible and understanding with my 16 year old son. My son loves going to his lesson and knows he needs to practice a bit more at home.
I strongly recommend Guilherme!
Heath
I've taken about 10 flamenco (and some bossa nova) guitar lessons with Guilherme so far. I had taken flamenco lessons in the past with other instructors, but this is the first time I've actually made progress. He's done a great job of creating a lesson plan and teaching a very technical style, while keeping it fun and exciting. I really look forward to my lessons every week, which is a credit to Guilherme's ability to balance method with fun. If you're at all interested in latin styles or jazz, I very highly recommend Guilherme!

The most important thing to me is to keep the student interested and engaged in the lessons. This way learning guitar is easy and fun, not a struggle. A great place to start is by learning songs you enjoy listening to. Then later moving on, applying theory and scales to the songs we have learned.

About Sam

Hi! I'm a recent graduate of Berklee College of music where I majored in professional music. This included music theory and guitar instruction, as well as reading and writing music notation and charts in different styles. I also play frequently, including shows at The 9:30 Club, The Howard Theater

Terrible experience. I bought a package of 20 lessons for my 9yo nephew. He looked forward to it ever day from Xmas to the first week of January. Sam canceled the first lesson only 2hours prior its beginning. Then canceled the second lesson 10 minutes before he was supposed to be there because he “forgot” he had a “recording session today”. During the only lesson my nephew had, Sam didn’t show any ability to tailor a lesson to a child. Instead he gave him a pick, which dismayed me, and taught him a rock song we never heard of.
When I contacted the company they were very nice about it but I had to challenge their vetting process of teachers.
Dara
It was an excellent lesson! I really learned a lot from it. I was able to learn one song and start on a second on my first lesson only! Definitely recommend Sam to anyone thinking about picking up the guitar!
Karen ..
Sam is awesome! He listened to my learning objectives and background, he instructs clearly (and kindly), and I’m super stoked for my next lesson.

"Amir is a very good guitar teacher. I play classical guitar and I wanted to also learn Flamenco. Amir is specialized in this art-form and passionate about it. He has a lot of patience, and explains the concepts clearly. He also looks carefully at every aspect of my playing, pin-pointing and correcting errors I make that otherwise I would not be aware of. He is always ready to answer questions and insists that I play that piece of music very well, before going further. After only a few weeks with Amir my flamenco started to sound very well, and I am confident that soon I will play at the speed and accuracy that this music form demands. I look forward to many more great lessons with Amir."

"Greg is the teacher of teachers! What I mean by that is because of Greg, I now also teach guitar. And I know of several of my friends who are now guitar teachers by trade as well. All of us do it and do it well BECAUSE Greg Campbell not only taught us how to play guitar, but he taught us how to teach guitar! Greg’s teaching style has such depth that I was able to reach my goals as a musician. And now I also make a living because of what Greg imparted to me. I do not know one guitar teacher in Montana who hasn’t been impacted by Greg’s direct instruction and or influence. So, as I said Greg is the teacher of teachers!"

Tips for Open Mic: 3 Ways Guitarists Can Shine

Guitarists, are you ready to hit the stage at a local open mic? Polish your performance with these tips from guitar teacher Samuel B.... Performing (like songwriting) is a craft at which any dedicated musician can excel. It requires no prerequisites – only the desire to share your talent and creations.
