I tried to teach guitar in the same manner in which I teach every instrument. First I teach students the rudiments of the instrument. Also I teach them how to read and a bit of music theory. From that point I like to follow the students lead. They bring in songs that they would like to learn, or possibly how to play lead guitar, or how to finger pick. At every point I try to point out general aspects of music that need to be learned from the material that they choose.

I have only been taking lessons for a few months and beyond learning songs, Jason has given me instruction on guitar maintenance (beyond the everyday care of the instrument) and music theory. I think his holistic approach to playing the guitar really sets him apart from other instructors. I always come away from each lesson feeling that I learned something new and valuable.
Jason really caters to the individual learning styles of his students. I travel often for work and he has found ways for me to continue to learn, even if I don't have my instrument with me. He is also tremendously knowledgeable and patient. If a certain style of learning doesn't seem to be sticking, he will find new and creative ways to teach until the idea resonates with the student.
I feel very fortunate to have found Jason as an instructor. I unreservedly give him the highest of recommendations."

We moved to the area from aboard 6 months ago and didn't no how to find a guitar teacher for our daughter.
Take lessons pointed us in the direction of Jesse, and we haven't looked back!
Our daughter thoroughly enjoys her lessons with Jesse, who makes it a lot more appealing by introducing modern music to the lessons. I have and would continue to recommend him."

I am 20, and I have been taking lessons with tony for almost 4 month. He really is a great teacher. He really makes guitar easy to learn and always give you confidence about learning new things. He is cool and nice, able to get you through all kinds of difficulties of learning guitar. Give hime a shot, if you really want to play guitar. He is better than any Youtube or on-line stuff."

There are several ways to master the technique of changing chords, so let’s look at a couple of exercises using basic guitar chords. The basic guitar chords are C, D, Dm, E, Em, F, G, A, and Am. Some instructors add C7, D7, E7, G7, A7 and B7. The F chord is always the most difficult for the beginning guitar player because you hold two strings down with one finger. Ideally, you want your basic guitar chords to sound clean and crisp – no muffled strings. Keep practicing the individual chord …
