Franklin Academic Tutoring Lessons for Adults

Students will learn how to interpret questions and the sequences to respond to these questions. Sometimes, there are more than one questions in an Essay question. You will know how to develop the questions and answer them with examples (if necessary) in order and how to format and organize your short answers. I will assist you in your homework and provide you with tools to response to the questions appropriately.

I encourage students to meet with me individually, since everyone's learning patterns and styles are different. In regards to English, I have different lesson plans for different grade levels. First starting off with a small diagnosis to see where the student's level is, I would work on phonetics, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, and writing.

My high school principal told my brother that I was the best geometry student he had even seen! I love geometric art and patterns. Geometry makes sense and comes naturally to me, and I am happy to tutor any student in it!

I can make math fun and understandable. I can compare and make math relevant to daily life and what students like.

I taught math classes as a GED instructor at Baltimore City Community College (2 years) where I found algebra and geometry to be the areas where students had the most problems. I was able to explain things to them more simply and in that time, helped 35 students earn their high school diploma.

If you are interested in learning applied linguistics for the purposes of understanding the structures of living languages, I am able to help you develop basic linguistic competency. During my studies, I have had the opportunity to study a wide variety of languages from discourse structures in Kwakum stories to phonology in Central Thai, and will use examples from a number of languages across the world.
