Book NowHi! My name is T.J. and I am a professional drummer and educator currently living in Forest Park, IL. I received my B.A. in Jazz Studies from Elmhurst College in the Spring of 2019. I have been playing professionally in Chicago and it's surrounding suburbs for over five years now, and have played the drum set for 13 years.
I am very passionate about my craft, and absolutely love spreading that knowledge with others and inspiring them to the best of my ability. I am well versed in many styles, including Rock, Jazz,, Fusion, Funk, World Music, and Classical Percussion.
I am active in many bands, such as Instrumental Rock/Fusion band Elysian Green and Folk/Rock band Fleeting Suns (check either out on spotify!) I've been lucky enough to record and share the stage with famous Chicago musicians, such as Chris Siebold, Mark Colby, Frank Caruso, Jeremy Khan, and Marlene Rosenberg, among others. Some less-local musicians include Mike Stern, Randy Brecker, Sean Jones, and Matt ...
About TJ

After working with Kelly for 3+ months, I feel I have spent enough time with her to give an assessment. Prior to seeing Kelly I had absolutely zero training in singing. I am an improv performer and wanted to develop my singing voice to a point where I would feel comfortable enough to use it on stage. I have truly been astonished with the progress we have made over the last few months. Each week I leave Kelly's home studio feeling like we made a major breakthrough. Probably the best part of Kelly's teaching style is that she is focused on my goals and structures the lessons in a way that allows me to learn best. Kelly provides feedback constantly throughout the lessons, and I always feel like we are maximizing the time we spend together. Even though it has only been a few months, I am much more comfortable with my singing voice and now view it as an asset, as opposed to something that is holding me back. Could not have asked for a better teacher."

He is learning a lot and his confidence is growing."

My 5 year old has a little autism symptom so she's very easy to get distracted. Yet we have great fun time in every class with him. His class worth 20 min driving there and 20 min driving back, using toll road!"
