Bryan has very unique lesson plans and can channel his musical thoughts very clearly. He was very understanding and reflective of my needs. He then presented me with a series of mental models and exercises which i am certain will make me not just a better pianist but a better musician and also help me appreciate music better.

I would highly highly recommend Bryan and i will certainly continue the musicial journey with him.

I have been teaching privately for over 9 years and playing since the age of 6. My studies have taken me through music performance programs at William Paterson University, Manhattan School of Music, and The Drummers Collective. My boys, ages 7 & 5, started piano lessons with Aaron a year ago. He has taught them technique & theory all while using songs they boys love. There are days that the boys are not the most cooperative. Aaron is amazingly patient and persistent in getting the boys to do their lessons. I really appreciate and have learned from this patience when it comes to the nightly practicing. I am pleased that the boys have been working with a male teacher and I think it really helps them relate to the music and the lessons. If you are looking for a patient yet knowledgeable piano teacher, I would definitely recommend Aaron.

"My Grandson has come so far with his Drum Lessons!

My 9 year old Grandson has been taking lessons with Matthew for over a year. This is his very first experience with any drum lessons and because of Matthew's excellent teaching style, he has come so far!

I might add that my Grandson has Down Syndrome but that never stopped Matthew from being the Great Drum Instructor that he is complete with a rather relaxed, easy going but very professional teaching skill.

When my Grandson was at a MLB Game when presented with the spur-of-the-moment opportunity to play drums with some professionals, he had the confidence to just jump right in because of his experience with Matthew's drum lessons.

Thank you Matthew, we appreciate all you have done!"

"Casey is professional and makes learing easy and fun.

Casey is an amazing teacher. I have ZERO musical talent and Casey had me playing songs within a week. He makes learning fun and very easy. He is very knowledgeable not to mention a pretty sick drummer.
I started taking drum lessons just to check it out... and I keep coming back to learn more.
If you want a very relaxed and good time while learning to play. Casey is your guy."

"I always enjoy my drumming lessons with Keith. Aside from being an all around kindhearted and fun individual, he is an extremely knowledgeable, experienced and patient instructor. He has the rare ability to distill his knowledge and experience, and then convey it to the student in a way that is understandable so that the student is able to apply it. As a result, improvement is fast and fun in the process. Additionally, as an adult beginner, time for practice as well as instruction comes at a premium, thereby making his effective teaching style even more valuable. Thanks Keith."

When Should You Replace Your Drum Heads?

A big part of drum set maintenance is knowing when to replace your drum heads. But when is the right time to do so? Of course, the right time will depend on how often you play - and also how hard you play. It can also depend on the sound you're going for, but a good rule of thumb is to switch out their drum heads when they start losing their original tone - they may sound dull, flat or worn. Other factors are if you notice dents (likely to happen if you're still using the stock heads), if you …
