I joined a small group session with Johanna a few times and it was one of the most positive singing experiences of my life. Johanna is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind. As a novice singer, it was really awesome for me to learn more about how to use my breath and body as a tool to free my voice. Johanna is truly embodied in her work and her enthusiasm and passion are contagious. Whether you are a professional or a beginner, I can't recommend Johanna more highly.

Learning to sing can be scary! It is my mission to provide a safe, supportive learning environment for students where they can develop skills to be a confident performer. It is important to me that students study in genres that they are the most comfortable; I myself have a love of all genres of music, including classical, musical theater, pop, rock, folk, and even punk. In my studio, students will learn and maintain a healthy technique for their instrument to be able to achieve any of their creative or professional goals. In addition to learning voice technique, we will strive towards a well-rounded music education that includes music theory, ear-training, and music literacy.

While in school, I won the 2014 Concerto Competition and was awarded an ATP Grant in 2015 for my original compositions for mezzo-soprano and piano. Since graduating, I

I highly recommend Luis as a voice coach. My daughter has been working with Luis for 6 years and he is excellent. Her voice has grown and matured in ways that would not have been possible without him. He is patient and kind, can teach a variety of music styles, music reading if desired, and breathing techniques. He brings out the best in his students and encourages them to grow and expand their abilities.

Luis is an amazing instructor. He helped my daughter get parts in plays. He gave her the confidence to make a few music videos. He is a genuine person and truly believes in helping students find their “voice”. I would highly recommend him to your company.
Julia
Luis has by far been the best vocal coach I have ever had. Aside from his charismatic and caring personality, his goal is ultimately to make you the best version of yourself. His vocal techniques are extremely useful and have helped me improve ever since my junior year of high school (I'm currently a junior in college). He goes beyond being a vocal coach- he aids in song selection, building your repertoire, and so much more. He has held recitals that I have performed in and he's been a fantastic mentor, coach, and supporter of mine. Truly, not enough can be said about him. From teaching me how to belt without straining to helping me expand my range and strengthen my mix, he's done it all.
Thank you a dozen times over! I would recommend him to anyone!

"I have been training with Corinne for a couple of weeks now and I've already learned so much! She is such a friendly and warm person and also has huge amounts of knowledge about singing. She hears what is going on with my voice and guides me towards the right direction. The 30 minutes I come in are effective and we already have a few songs that I can sing at future auditions.

I highly recommend Corinne as a voice teacher!"

"Holly is simply magnificent! She's incredibly talented and a wonderful teacher. My daughter took lessons from Holly for six years and had much success. She placed in All State, Governor's Honors and Honor Choirs. The best part was when she received a scholarship for vocal performance, all four years of college (undergrad)! Now, she's studying for her master’s degree in vocal pedagogy and performance. Holly's influence went beyond vocal performance skills, she's a mentor and role model to her students. We have so much respect, admiration and love for Holly. I enthusiastically recommend her!"

"As a young, low voice, my son was struggling with singing until he started taking lessons with Matthew. Since then, my son has developed a passion for opera and has decided to pursue a vocal performance degree in college. Matthew has not only helped him develop his voice, he has also had discussions about what to expect as a professional singer and has coached him through the college application/audition process. I can't recommend Matthew highly enough. He truly cares about his students and strives to help them achieve their own personal goals, whatever they may be."
