I want you to explore what it's like to experience the unbelievable amount of satisfaction you can have by allowing yourself to study acting and music. I teach from a method base and will work on monologues, scenes and audition materials, collaborating with you on what it is you need to understand how we go about doing this thing called acting. I can work virtually. One thing you must know about me, I am really nice. I won't crush your dreams. I will, however, make sure you attain them. I can come to you or you can meet me where I teach. I am in SF and Los Angeles. I successfully work virtually with many people. If you want to act, we can make it happen.
I am happy to be offering committed actors, singers and speakers private classes and vocal performance sessions including technique for film, stage, on camera, audition technique, monologue and scene study, script analysis and sessions that educate actors and singers about working in the entertainment industry. I coach in person and online. I want my students to be working actors and performers and they are.
I am a member of the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television Artists and Actors Equity Association, a Critics Circle Award Winning Actor and I am a working artist. I am committed to helping artists experience their craft in a supportive, safe and challenging environment. I am really nice.
I am most influenced by Stanislavsky and Lee Strasberg.

I also work extensively with many people who are in other industries. I teach communication skills using tools that actors use. It is extremely effective.

My students are committed to exploring their craft of acting, singing performance, songwriting and screenwriting. Most land agent representation. They have booked many roles, too many to name, but here are a few, HBO's, Thirteen Reasons Why, WestWorld, Blue Jasmine, Touching Home, and productions at Equity theatres throughout the country and countless National commercials. Most have joined SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity and I encourage this.
When you study acting / singing performance w/ me you'll learn how to navigate the business because you must know how.
They are definitely the most difficult and nerve wracking part of being an actor or singer, right? Booking work means your audition has to be as good as opening night.
Auditioning is about preparation and preparation takes consistent support. Look, showbiz is not a business about being alone. Artists thrive when working together. We are a collaborative bunch and collaborating to make sure you're ready and organized for your auditions makes sense.
Stop trying to muscle through this necessary step alone. No one who works consistently does that! They ask for help. ASK FOR HELP!!
Solidify your acting choices so you don't have to worry about them the day before your audition. Know your prep so you can internally drop into it when the casting director says, "Whenever you're ready."

Kathryn is a member of the Sag-Aftra and Actors Equity and BMI and is a Critics Circle Award Winner.
Kathryn has worked with such legends as Tennessee Ernie Ford, Ben Vereen, Word Baker, who directed the first a one-act version of “The Fantastics” and then the historic two-act show, Sandy Duncan, Loretta Lynn, Flip Wilson. She studied at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and HB Studio in New York City.

A graduate of London's Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Crystal brings the UK's mastery of the skills needed to enact Shakespeare's works.

Crystal believes that music is serious business but that it should be fun. She encourages her students to play music they love, as well as expanding their musical knowledge. She is a firm believer in basics first and emphasizes theory and technique as the tools to support creativity and provide freedom, power and control. She believes effort beats talent every time and the student who practices consistently will see results, whatever their level of ability. Most of all, she believes we were all born to make music.

Lesson structure varies depending on the student's instrument, age, level of experience and musical style. However, all lessons focus on:
After 3 or 6 months of consistent lesson attendance and practice, students will have a clear understanding of how their instrument works and how to care for it. They will be able to read basic music notation. They will be working toward clearly defined musical goals and they will have at least three performance pieces learned.

Rachel received her BFA in Acting from Ithaca College in 2017. She has worked on numerous on camera projects, including feature films, short films, commercials, and industrial projects. Rachel has experience coaching audition material for college BFA programs, as well as coaching stage and theatre audition material. She has taught at youth theatre programs as well. As a television and theatre actor for 14 years who became an award-winning director and screenwriter, I have a particularly well-rounded perspective on acting. My belief is that anyone can act, if given the right tools. Most importantly, it's about exploring yourself -- who you really are as a human being and having confidence in that unique individual -- that moves audiences and brings a character to life. We will also use my expertise on the other side of the camera to explore how to work with directors, as well as the writer's perspective on your character's function in the larger story.
