I love algebra and been tutoring up to high schoolers even as a high schooler myself! There’s no time in my school career where I got anything less than an A in Math! My approach to math is friendly and one thing that makes me stand out is I don’t think too hard in algebra or anything math related!
I love math and I believe having me as an algebra teacher would help enhance your level of understanding from beginner to intermediate and so on, you would learn so much from me that you’ve never had!

About Salissu

Being a straight A student through my whole High school career, I could easily tell you I’ve faced many challenges where I thought I wouldn’t even make it! I have mastered the art of studying how to succeed in whatever you do! Going to school and working at the same time, I did well in both of my c

I provide classical instruction in portraiture, still life and landscape in your studio or mine. In this traditional approach to drawing and painting, what will be taught and focused upon are perspective, value and composition in order for the student to develop strong visual language skills. The program of study begins with a specific focus on drawing, since drawing is the foundation upon which all great traditional art is built. Throughout this training, emphasis will be placed on accuracy, or more specifically, seeing and rendering correctly such things as line quality, hard and soft edges, proportion, positive and negative space through abstract form and the use of the full range of values.

About Jeff

I'm a graduate of Dean College in Franklin, MA and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston where I majored in art history and studio art with a focus on portrait painting and illustration. I continued further study at the Andeeva Portrait Academy in Sante Fe New Mexico, the Los Angeles Acad

Good teacher, did not get off topic. Taught me words that I didn't really know. Looking forward to my next class. (Elijah B.)

Personable and very knowledgeable about his subject...Latin. Yes, would recommend to anyone.
Makoa
My 12 year old son was hesitant to have Latin lessons based on the experience he had in a classroom setting. He just had his first lesson and immediately told me afterward, "I learned more from Jonathan than I did all year in class." He seemed to really connect with Jonathan and is actually looking forward to his next lesson.

"Ian has helped me with numerous creative writing projects for school and personal work. In my creative writing class he helped hone my ideas and give me more background on the structure of my short story. He also copy edited all of my papers and essays. Now that I am out of school he has helped me with a few small personal projects and also has done some copy editing for my website and creative blurbs. He is a great teacher/tutor."

"Dr. Nupur is the best teacher ever, we feel lucky to have found her at takelessons.

Her background is impeccable and in addition, she is a teacher who cares. She cared about my daughter, her progress (high school, chemistry) and well-being. My daughter's progress in less than 1 month was amazing: she went from 'we're a bit concerned for your grade' to the point she was helping others in class.

Dr. Nupur is the kind of teacher you wish your kids to have. I recommend her highly."

"I initially reached out to Rod for Algebra 1 review because I felt that my daughter lacked a solid foundation in algebra. However, after a couple of sessions, we have decided to switch gears toward geometry with Rod’s recommendation. Throughout the geometry lessons, algebra practice was incorporated. I am happy that not only did Rod tailor his lessons to my daughter’s goals but also he gave her a lot of encouragement. My daughter found it extremely helpful that she got to explain and discuss with Rod, which made lessons interactive and real learning. Now going back to school, my daughter feels confident, thanks to Rod!"

"Grant is one of the most patient, understanding and helpful instructors I have ever worked with. He's respectful of my work and is constantly encouraging me to push forward. His teaching style is pragmatic, while still remaining fluid enough to allow for flexibility.

Really, the only thing that matters is that Grant is educated, patient and (perhaps most of all) comfortable. I trust him and his analysis. I trust his advice. He's a great mentor and somebody you can count on."
