Stephen's a great instructor both from a technical and personable perspective.

He's got a cornucopia of musical knowledge that's evident from how speaks to how he teaches. If you like any film score, chances are he knows how to play it.

Speaking as a beginner, I can say he's been very patient and knows a bunch of exercises and books to learn everything thing from theory to practical pieces to finger exercises.

He provides constructive guidance on what you're doing wrong, and I'm happy to see myself improve under his tutorage. (oh and if you're a sci-fi fan, you'll have a lot in common with him)

Learning Argentine Tango can change your life in numerous ways. I know, because I teach it for like - forever. Special people start learning the Tango and this is not without reason. We have a saying - you do not choose Tango. Tango chooses you. And when the time is right - you will encounter it.

I am not gonna lie to you. It will not be easy. But it is the best thing you will ever do for Your Partner and Yourself! Argentine Tango is not just a dance.
My partner and I think of an Argentine Tango as a Philosophy of Life. People who join us on the journey to discovery usually stay for years. I would say forever, but that's. a tricky word since I had not experienced foreverness quite yet... It would indicate immortality, right?

Tango is a dance based on communication between two bodies - the dance is improvised. That means the Leader proposes the movement to the Follower in response to what she confirms the understanding of it and interprets it in the way she and her body understood ...

About Hernan

Hernan has taught and performed at various festivals, milongas, and studios in New York and Massachusetts as well as in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, and Argentina. He was a principal dancer in the off-Broadway dance play Let's Speak Tango and choreographed and starred in the short film

I am specialized in teaching musical theatre acting but have an extensive knowledge of many acting techniques that I use to help teach students and I even use during my own auditions. I have performed in many different styles of theatre and different stages ranging from a small 30 seat Black-Box theatre all the way to The Royal Opera House in the Palace of Versailles in France. Not only have I worked on stage, but I have also worked behind the table with a major Los Angeles casting director and a prominent talent agency in Los Angeles. I believe that I would be an asset to your training due to the fact that I am still in the musical theatre field and know what major casting directors and other professionals are looking for in performers. Shoot me a message and let's get to work!

Nick is an amazing voice teacher and a highly skilled singer himself. His lessons are very thorough, but also fun! While Nick gives you corrections, he also emphasizes the things that you are also doing well on. You will leave his lessons feeling confident and energized!
Emma
I have had the privilege of working alongside Nick, learning from him, and watching him grow as a performer and as a teacher. I have seen him instruct and collaborate with peers and adults, as well as kids ranging from 8 to 18. The way in which he is able to articulate and pinpoint areas where improvement is available, while simultaneously keeping things fun and positive, is a true accomplishment. He cares so deeply about the work, as well as people. If you are looking for someone for your kids or for yourself, Nick comes with a plethora of knowledge and a humble, jovial demeanor. It will be a judgement free zone, so you can come as you are, wherever you are with your singing journey. Be prepared to work hard, connect to your body, and have a great time. I personally still look to him for audition advice, style tips, and reminders of technique. I could not recommend Nick enough.
