My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a customized curriculum based on the needs and interests of my student. The best way to engage students is to teach the music they enjoy and makes them passionate. I maintain my dedication to building passionate musicians while upholding rigor and musical theory within the student's personal interests. If you complete 25+ lessons in a year, I also offer a recital in the Spring for a great performance opportunity and an overall great time.

After spending my early years in California, I moved to Boston to pursue my higher education as a Piano Principle at the Berklee College of Music. After graduating in 2012, I discovered two passions, music education and bluegrass mandolin. Since then I have been spreading my passion for music to

I enjoy working with most of my students, especially those who practice hard. I find all students unique and they response differently to my requests or questions. I feel that very often I need to react spontaneously to their responses. For the beginners I mainly focus on reading musical notes and learning correct rhythmic values. With beginners who haven’t played the piano at all I teach finger exercises written finger numbers only. Then I use Piano Adventures theory, lesson, technique and artistry, performance, and popular music books. Although Alfred’s and Bastien’s methods are well known, I prefer Piano Adventures because they introduce the coordination of right and left hand in more progressive manner. At the beginning the following will be covered.
• Postures at the piano, finger numbers, high and low on the keyboard
• Music alphabet, Intervals
• Musical form, Dynamic marks
• Staff; line notes, space notes
• Time signature, accent mark, legato, staccato
• Basic chords ...

Inna is a fantastic teacher who has helped me come a long way with my vocal technique, as well as feel confident with my own voice. Two years ago, I came to her as a novice singer with weak control of my vocal muscles and little sense of how to properly approach a song. Ever since, I have learned to comfortably sing in styles I previously didn’t even consider because I perceived them as too difficult. She has a keen sense for customizing warm-up exercises and giving constructive feedback. For whatever song I wanted to practice, she helped me make it my own. Additionally, Inna is very patient, good-humored, and knowledgeable. She even she encouraged me to write my own music and helped me learn composition. I have surprised myself through these lessons. I highly recommend lessons with Inna!
Jean-Luc
Inna was very knowledgeable and great at teaching vocal technique. She taught several diverse vocal styles which were tailored to my specific needs and helped me grow as a singer much faster than I thought I could.
Ralph
A great teacher! I've been taking lessons with Inna since March 2018 and have no plans of stopping soon. Inna keeps things fun and stress-free, and my lesson is something I look forward to every week. Definitely recommend!

He looks so froward to his lesson each week and has developed a passion for learning how to play the piano and create the music. Jacob’s teaching method is thorough and instructive, which helps build a solid foundation for kids to develop their interests and skills in playing piano. I highly recommend Jacob to anyone!"

Andy is very communicative about my son's progress and ideas he has for new goals. Andy is very good at helping my son keep his enthusiasm for piano. He is also sensitive about where my son is at in terms of what he needs to strengthen or if any adjustments need to be made. I highly recommend Andy, not only as a music teacher, but as a person with whom you would want yourself or children to spend time with each week."
