This is perhaps my favorite subject to teach. There are such a variety of things you can do with the most basic of stitches, which students can then build upon depending on their interests. My goal for my students to walk away with a confidence in creating their own designs, with techniques tailored to their specific aesthetic goals.

*No machine embroidery.

About Rhiannon

My name is Rhiannon and I am a third generation crafter. Originally I went to school for art history, all the while crafting. Eventually I had enough of studying other people's work and instead wanted to make my own and empower others to do the same. I consider myself to be the "Swiss Army Knif

Rhiannon was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Looking forward to the next lessons!

I'm enjoying my classes. I've been bringing Rhiannon stitches I want to learn without any notice, and she is always able to help me on the spot to learn them. Her flexibility (both in what I want to learn and in scheduling) makes private classes a pleasant and worthwhile investment. Highly recommend!

I'm a Home Economics teacher with 30 years of experience related to needlework. I have skills and strong foundation of handicrafts and specialize in fine embroidery arts. I typically use inspirational ideas around me and modify them according to my students' needs. I structure my lessons in a way the students will learn what they want to learn without feeling bored.

I'm available for eager students of all ages and experience level. I would love to work with you and help you learn to master the basics of this needlework. I will also assist you in building an embroidery portfolio that you can use any time as a quick reference guide (and inspiration as well) so you can comfortably make your very own DIY crochet projects!

About Loudel

Mabuhay! My name is Lou. I'm a teacher from the Philippines and now living in the US. I teach Tagalog to people who wants to understand and speak the language better. Tagalog is the basis of Filipino, the standardized national language of the Philippines. While still living in the Philippine

Loudel is awesome!! She is so helpful and creates a safe environment that allows you to not be afraid to mess up and correct it. 10/5 rating! Maraming Maraming Salamat po!

My son has truly enjoyed his Tagalog classes with Ms. Lou. He now enjoys watching The Filipino Channel with his grandparents. Such precious moments!
Sean
She's amazing. If you're serious about learning the language and not just memorizing words and phrases to impress people when you visit The Philippines, Loudel is the instructor you're looking for. She teaches the language as if she were teaching a formal class, starting with the basics of the alphabet and the history of the language, and slowly incorporating more advanced concepts and grammar. There is also a huge stress on proper pronunciation. Helpful assignments/homework are provided to reinforce concepts, and she tests both writing and speaking ability at certain intervals as well.

Loudel is a VERY professional and effective teacher. Because of these lessons, I can honestly say that I can not only speak/write/read/understand Tagalog, but I understand how the language works, which makes learning additional content much easier.

I strongly encourage anyone serious about learning Tagalog to choose Loudel as their teacher. She'll make it happen.

P.S. Also, she's really fun to learn from. Loves to joke and insert bits of linguistic and cultural trivia from time to time. Great sense of humor and very friendly!

This is not a machine embroidery class. Get ready to move beyond the basic cross stitch (by hand). Let me coach you on specialty stitches such as satin, queen, eyelets, Rhodes, French knots and more. Let me repeat, this will not be a machine embroidery class, every stitch will be by hand.
I've been cross stitching since 1983 and teaching it for over 10 years. Within the first few lessons, you'll learn how to organize your material for easier sewing, master basic stitches, and as time goes on you'll be able to tackle complicated stitches and designs. I specialize in counted cross stitch, but also have experience with redwork, drawnwork, Bargello, pulled thread, hardanger, and canvaswork. Typically, I use The Cross Stitcher's Bible by Jane Greenoff but can recommend other helpful resources. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

It's like you've got an instructor right by your side! 😄

At first, I was unsure of how online sewing lessons would work out, but if I had the opportunity again, I would definitely sign-up with lessons from Ms. Dawn,
especially if your looking for thorough, well-explained lessons then I would encourage you to sign-up. With the skills that I've learned during these past few weeks, I can now see great improvement in my sewing and it's all thanks to the time and effort put forth by her dedicated instruction. Thank you for reading, and happy sewing!!

Dawn was giving embroidery lessons to my 10 yr old daughter over summer. Every week, over the course of 8 weeks my daughter worked on a new project or new stitch. Dawn was very patient with her and my daughter enjoyed the lessons a lot. Dawn got her so much interested that she diligently finished her homework and was always looking forward to her next class.

"Lily, by far and away has exceeded mine and my wife's expectations. She was extremely patient and knowledgeable. We are in the process of opening a embroidery and screen printing store and Lily was very helpful with eliminating some of the road blocks we have faced over last month. It was only an hour but I felt that we accomplished a lot in that 60 minutes. My wife has accomplished a bunch of shirts in the one day since our lesson. With eliminating some of the road blocks she had encountered, she was able to finish a project without frustration and wasting hours. We look forward to next weeks lesson. I rarely give reviews and I am not doing this to be nice. I truly want to give LILY the Props she deserves. She immediately makes you feel very comfortable and never makes you feel dumb. We highly recommend her services."

I’m a seamstress, but embroidery presented a new learning curve that required expert assistance... & then I found Lily!!! Personable, patient, and so very knowledgeable! "I loved my class with Rhiannon. I was a little unsure about how an embroidery class would truly work online. However, my class was clear, enjoyable and I particularly liked how Rhiannon showed me how each stitch I learned today, can be used to create specific effects. She used her own embroidery projects to illustrate this for me.
I can't wait for my next class!"
