I tailor each lesson to fit your individual needs and will get you strumming your favorite songs, reading music, taking soaring solos, or writing your own melodies while simultaneously deepening your understanding of the language of music. I believe in building music fundamentals while fostering a love of playing. My fun, imaginative, and age appropriate classes are just right for any budding musician! Each lesson is customized to get the individual student excited about music, that means playing songs they like and having fun while learning the essential techniques and developing musicality. I have extensive experience working with children 5-16 and adapt my teaching to promote success for each unique student.

Together we will play and begin to understand a multitude of styles and techniques, the role of the guitar pickup and their many styles, uses, and purposes, the amplifier and how it is part of your instrument, and how to utilize effect pedals in your guitar signal chain.

If you're a beginner, we're going to focus most specifically on your guitar playing abilities, including your rhythm, ear training, we'll learn chords, basic fretboard theory and how to fully utilize your entire guitar neck.

If you're a more advanced player, we'll focus on more advanced rhythms and ear training, picking techniques, fingerpicking, more advanced harmony and chord voicings, reading music, extended chords, and getting into effect pedals, and which ones to utilize for yourself.

I have found the best approach to doing this is by selecting music that you like to listen to and play, as it is much more fun to practice something that you enjoy rather than doing busywork to build skill.

Ive been playing guitar since 2005. It was my first instrument to learn and love to play. Im currently the lead guitar in a metal band. I can teach you some beginner and intermediete techniques. I dont teach music theory but i teach how to learn and practice with your hands. I play all genres of music and willing to teach and learn together. Most music teachers from stores will give you a very standard non-personalized approach to teaching. My style of teaching focuses on the student's goals and needs. I teach Guitar, Bass, and Ukulele. I also teach songwriting skills, good practice habits, and stage presence/performance tips, the necessary skills required to be an original performing artist that I developed with my own experience pursuing a music career

Experienced guitarist of 12 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of classical guitar skills. I specialize in rock, blues, and Jazz. I have a Masters degree in Vocal Performance so you can expect a well rounded curriculum that will help you better understand music and playing with others while you improve your own personal technique.

I can teach acoustic or electric guitar, this is up to the student. I'm also prepared to teach any particular style that's preferred on either instrument.

If you opt to learn on an electric guitar, I can teach you how to use an amplifier, effects and other equipment to find the perfect sound you are looking for.

We'll work on guitar fundamentals, sound, technique, combined with learning music from the artists that inspire you. We'll decide on a couple short-term and long-term goals, which will help you see your progress and keep you motivated!
I can also teach you the fundamentals of music theory and ear training; perfect for someone planning on applying to music college.
