Excellent

I am an adult learner new to music lessons, and so was very anxious during my first violin session with Raycurt. I can't say enough about his professionalism and easy teaching style. We spoke prior to the meeting, and he told me what I needed to get started. More impressive, he showed up during a snowstorm! I highly recommend him.

The young ladies of Virtuous Star, Inc."VSTAR" had an awesome opportunity to experience a step class taught by Shannan. Our girls had a great time learning how to step through a fun and exciting classroom environment! Her level of energy and enthusiasm was displayed and felt during the entire class period. Briana S. Washington, DC

I am a full-time professional dancer who has performed nationally and internationally including the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, DC's City Rhythms Festival, the VelocityDC Festival, as well as others. In my dance lessons, students will strengthen their technique, creativity, individuality and showmanship through a warm-up, movement activities, and challenging movement combinations. Students will increase their knowledge and physical vocabulary and leave each lesson a better dancer, performer and person. In the midst of learning students will also be required to have fun! I am able to teach ballet, modern, jazz, step and gumboot dancing.

I have taught classes alongside Briana, observed her as an instructor, and taken class from her in a few different styles. Briana is a spark of energy that keeps students engaged and excited during the learning process. She is passionate about dance and this shines through in her teaching as much as it does in her performance.

Equaling her enthusiasm, her creativity is incredibly enriching to her class experience. She is both creative and thoughtful in the design of her class plan and structure, and also intelligent in making adaptations "on-the-fly" to ensure all students are getting the most benefit from their time in class. And these qualities are consistent whether the students are age 5 or 65...literally!

Briana was a substitute instructor a few times this past fall at District Dance Arts. Her energy, upbeat and motivational personality, style and flavor were a huge hit with both our students and parents. She is highly professional and highly organized and her choreography and music selections are tasteful and age appropriate.

In addition to hip hop, Briana has also stepped in to sub for a beg./int. ballet and jazz class and the students absolutely loved her. She is versatile, friendly, relates well with students, and is highly recommended by District Dance Arts!
