Dan is a fantastic instructor! I am a 27 year old whom had never touched a violin in my life before Dan. Now I own a violin, practice every week, and can read basic music sheets. He is very knowledgeable, patient, funny, and flexible. If you're looking to learn a new instrument while having a good time, look no further my friend. What are you waiting for?

Need someone special to teach you...?

Having never even held a violin in my life, I was apprehensive about trying this, but Danut is not only an expert at playing the violin and has several different methods to teach different individuals, but is also flexible in conforming to what is best for each student. And, most importantly (for me) is that he is v-e-r-y patient. LOL I may never be a concert violinist, but I am achieving my goal of learning to play and don't think this would be happening with anyone else. Thank you Danut!

An Encouraging Mentor

I took lessons with Danut for around two years and found him to be an excellent teacher. He is a knowledgable and encouraging instructor, and he never falters in reminding me to be patient and practice slowly.
My lessons with Danut have greatly increased my understanding of violin technique and practice. I improved greatly under his instruction and I would sincerely recommend him to violin students of any age or level.

Joe is a real professional talent and teacher. He is extremely patient and thorough with beginners like me. He takes time to cover basic guitar instrument basics, guitar music theory, scales, notes, etc. He is very flexible and will always go over lessons that require review with the student. Being new to instrument lessons I feel very comfortable with Joe's suggestions for me personally for areas that require practice. His videos are very informative as well as other documents regarding reading music, sessions, clefs, etc. His ability to relate his professional experiences into the lessons make the experience that much more valuable. I would highly recommend him as a guitar teacher.

We have been using Joe for guitar lessons for several years. My oldest Son started with Joe and also participated in his Rock Shop events. Although he is no longer taking lessons, he was playing the guitar last evening and I asked him what song he was playing? It was his original piece and it sounded excellent. The lessons with Joe really paid off. My youngest Son is currently taking lessons from Joe and we are confident that he too will be able to write and play his own music in the future. Joe is very flexible with our changing schedule and always follows up regarding our appointments. We highly recommend Joe to families with kids of all ages.

Great overview of the blues and classical history

I took lesson with Joe Mcintosh for a little over a year with the intent of leaning the basics of guitar playing and specifiaclly the blues. I got a lot of practical information and knowledge from Joe in various aspects of music and its history. I thoroughly enjoyed the lessons and the value it carried.

Joe is a very accomplished player and very patient with his students. I would highly recommend him for anyone with any skill level.

Erika G. Saint Petersburg, FL

About Erika

Erika is a multi-instrumentalist on a mission - to share the power of music with as many people as possible! Raised by an opera singer, Erika was exposed to classical music before birth; she knew how to read music before she could read words! From an early age, Erika knew that she was going to be a musician. At 10 years old, she began her study of piano; at 12, she taught herself viola and violin. Her career started at the age of 14 with a church pianist job and her very first private student. By 16, she was playing viola with the local symphony orchestra, accompanying collegiate vocalists, and teaching adults 20 years her senior. Before leaving for college, Erika had the very special honor of being one of eight pianists chosen state-wide to attend the Tennessee Governor's School for ...

Erika is a wonderful teacher; she seemed to sense exactly what I wanted to acheive, as a beginning senior student to piano. Always pleasant , friendly and cheerful, she guided me along in my endeavours. Another factor that was very positive for me was the flexibility with which we were able to schedule the lessons, if our pre-set time didn't always work for one of us. We always managed to agree on a time that was mutually suitable.

Thank you Erika; I will continue to practice and see you when I return to Florida.

I am an adult student and find Erika to be a very capable teacher. She is encouraging and easy going. She has helpful suggestions and willing to help me with all of my questions and choices of music and practice procedures. She always knows how to correct my mistakes while still encouraging me. She does not waste any of our time yet I think I may change my 30 minute lessons to 45 minutes to maybe an hour. She gives me written home work, which is good as I quickly forget things said during the lesson.

From the first time Erika came into our home to teach my 10 year old daughter, we all felt relaxed, comfortable and happy to have her here. My daughter adores the lessons! they go by so quickly and even though they cover a lot of ground and Erik is strict about the learning and getting it right, she is always so encouraging and supportive! I hear them laughing lots and my daughter is always happy and glowing after the lesson. she practices more readily and looks forward to her lesson every week!. So thank you Erika

I took piano twice as a youth, and never really got it. I am doing it again at age 60, and am absolutely loving the approach that Laura uses. I find myself totally excited about the process and enthused that I will actually get it this time. I cannot recommend Laura highly enough.

I have done voice lessons twice before, first in Seattle, and second in Phoenix. Laura is BY FAR the best voice instructor of the three. I feel that I am finally "getting my voice". She is incredibly helpful in coaching me to get the proper tone, and to really learn the art of singing.
