Before I decided to choose the path of music, I wanted to become a pastry chef. I can teach you how to do basic baking like cakes and cookies, or we can do more advanced baking like creme brulee!

About Danielle

Hello! My name is Danielle and I absolutely love to teach! I have a Masters of Music in piano accompaniment from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and an Undergraduate Degree in Solo Performance from San Francisco State University. I grew up playing piano and singing - I've been playing for more than 20 years! I have had several home studios over the years, but now that I've moved to LA, it's time to start one up here :) I also work at a performing arts camp every summer where I direct the piano program and play for the choir. I also enjoy crafting and baking and grew up doing both with my family. My sister has a cake business and I was "pinteresting" before pinterest was invented :)

Chef Travis was beyond outstanding! He is very knowledgable and patient! I came into the lessons knowing how to cook for my family, but not knowing the techniques, flavor combinations, and methods for taking my meals to the next level. Travis is an actual chef and I really appreciated how willing he was to review recipes with me, send me videos of chopping techniques, and answer each and every one of my questions. If you are interested in learning how to enjoy making delicious meals, he is the perfect fit!

I love baking as a hobby, and my teacher is none other than YouTuber Rosanna Pansino! (through her videos of course, I wish I knew her personally). However, I'd like to teach the basics of baking so that students can adapt recipes and even create new recipes on their own!

About Darlena

Hi there, world! Darlena P. here, a young, impressionable soul ready to expand the minds of other curious souls. So you want to spice up your life by learning the magic of music, algebra, crocheting, baking, and accounting? I know, they're unrelated but it's up to you as to what you want to learn! I've been playing music for 13 years, starting with the piano. Then opportunities came up and I picked up clarinet, guitar, and upright bass over the years (the bass was almost by accident). Moving on to the other subjects: algebra and accounting! Algebra was my favorite subject in school (still is my favorite subject ever) and I am currently majoring in accounting at UCI (Zot). Baking and crocheting are how I keep sane in college, so it might help my fellow students out there. I hope to help ...

Les K. Los Angeles, CA

Nothing like the smell of fresh bread or a beautifully browned and deliciously delicate pie crust to make people love you even more. I have learned a LOT by making some great boo boos. Baking is so much fun and you have something to show for it when you're done. If you hunger for the perfect loaf of potato bread to eat with your butter or you want to make your own lasagna noodles...I'm the one who can help you.

About Les

I'm ready. Are you? My name is Les K. and I'm really excited to meet you! I have a BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and an MA in American Studies. As a long time teacher whose students go on to bigger and better things in life, I think my job is to make me unnecessary! You start where you are, we work on what you need to improve and then you go on into your life. I have been a tutor for more than 10 years and a teacher for over 20 years. I have helped my students to write papers/essays, poems and stories, college applications, compile resumes, write letters, answer questions on a wide variety of topics from the personal to the professional. I am curious, funny, interested in people and dogs! I love to cook, take photographs, and read. My students say I am ...

Bradley R. Long Beach, CA

I learned to bake from my mother and grandmother when I was a child. My first success was a coffee cake and it was, well, not the best. But I persevered and kept learning and unlocked the secrets to beautiful bread doughs, luscious cakes and pies, fluffy and flakey pastries. I will teach you from the beginning how baking is a science, but a fun and tasty science. Learn alternate methods for breads, quick biscuits that melt in your mouth, and the flakiest croissant you could imagine.

About Bradley

My approach to learning is to have fun! Whether you choose knitting, spinning, crochet, baking, or noodle making, you will have fun while learning and achieving awesome results! With both crafting and cooking, you are creating art so you should be able to express yourself. I have been teaching knitting, crocheting, and cooking for over 10 years and love to pass my knowledge along. I will teach from the extreme basics to advanced. If you want to learn fair isle knitting or how to make German noodles, I can help you achieve the results you want.
