I'm a 58 year old complete novice. Aaron has been very patient and doesn't seem to mind starting from scratch. Every time we come to the end of the lesson I have something new, and wish I had more time.

Kecia T. Elk Grove, CA

About Kecia

I took piano lessons as a child and my passion for music blossomed. I have been playing for over 30 years. I have always loved writing my own songs, and finally recorded a CD of original contemporary piano. I started teaching piano in 2007, and I am passionate about teaching my students proper techniques and concepts correctly so they will become proficient at reading and playing music. I have always connected easily with children and consider myself very fortunate to be able to teach the joys of music to children of all ages! I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, I performed as a member of a local college orchestra for 2 years, where I played second string violin and piano. I also have performed drama on stage. Fabulous Intructor!

Isabella is having a wonderful time in her lessons with Kecia. Kecia keeps the lessons fun and intersting. Isabella is learning to understand what she is playing with theory and note recognition.
Kenneth K. Stockton, CA

About Kenneth

My philosophy of teaching has many facets: 1.) The students physical health must be taken into consideration when playing an instrument. 2.) Only through hard work and practice can a student make lasting improvements. 3.) Repetition is the key to long-lasting learning. 4.) A teacher needs to be a cheerleader and a task-master at the same time. 5.) I use the Suzuki Method in as many ways as possible along with reading exercises for most ages. *** Lesson Details *** I do have high expectations of my students, but I am considerate about schedules and family conflicts. *** Studio Equipment *** Office/classroom, seating for parents, piano - it is his so reservations won't be an issue *** Specialties *** I am currently training with a violin/viola master teacher who ...

Sarah N. Elk Grove, CA

About Sarah

I received my BA in music from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. While the school is not well known for music, the program stressed being as well rounded in as possible with a "Learn by doing" attitude permeating every class. I believe that this attitude is essential to all musicians, regardless of what style they are interested in. No matter if you wish to sing pop or opera, the basics are the same. I emphasize singing in a healthy manner and taking care of your voice. I also believe that most people are capable of singing well. I have been involved in several Opera scene performances, most notably performing the role of Lucia in the Mad Scene from "Lucia di Lammermoor" and the Marschallin in the finale of "Der Rosenkavalier." With this background, I can help my students learn how to ...

Singing
Amazing Teacher. Kind, Caring, and Witty :)

I took lessons with Sarah for a couple month before moving to another city, and I wish I could have taken her with me! I'm a beginner singer that loves singing all generes, but really believed I was a hopeless cause when it came to singing. Sarah worked one on one with me to teach me proper breathing and exercises in order to keep my voice healthy and within a couple weeks I already saw improvement. She was patient to work out the bad habits I had picked up before I started taking lessons. I highly recommend Sarah. My voice and I thank her :)
