About this class

This slow practice focuses on the connective tissue of the body; we'll practice deep stretches, breathe deeply, and hold poses for 3-5 minutes. This helps to promote better circulation, relax and de-stress the body and mind, and lengthen the tissues that support our muscles and bones. Props (yoga blocks, straps, or cushions/bolsters for support) are recommended but not required. All levels of adult students (16+) are welcome.

Hi! I've been a teacher all of my adult life--from coaching acting at summer camps, teaching theater, film and speech to high school students, English as a Second Language to students from middle school through adult professionals, research paper writing, education, and even yoga and martial arts! I love helping people discover new worlds, create new opportunities, and gain confidence through learning just about anything. The goal of a good teacher is to provide a space where the student has the tools to become successful, but still has a safe space to make mistakes and grow.
Aside from teaching, I've been a published writer, columnist, and book author, have owned my own independent film company, and most recently managed a yoga studio in Los Angeles, California. I love anything creative and believe the arts are an amazing tool for learning. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your interests and learning goals--let's learn some stuff!
