I help singers develop powerful, authentic voices. If you want to sing with more ease and freedom, deepen your understanding of your vocal instrument and learn tools to help you become more confident performing in public whether it be singing or speaking, THIS is for you! Optimize your voice by understanding how it works. I use multifaceted exercises to help you find and feel the difference in sound immediately, and we follow-up by with learning daily exercise protocols that help develop the muscular structure to create an easily sustainable vocal resonance.

Safely explore your vocal sound to deliver outstanding auditions and performances: Increase your range, broaden vocal tone, explore dynamics, cultivate calm energy, and feel better about your voice.

Take a deep inhale.....relax your jaw and exhale on "aaahhh". That's how we begin, by relaxing and finding your "aaahh!" space with exercises designed to connect the heart to the science of voice & movement. Let me help you find an easier way to promote your best posture, easiest breath support, best resonance and pitch control. My teaching style is infused with the knowledge that students of voice must be treated with great care and encouragement. Let me help you release your authentic voice!

I have always been fascinated with how music is created and who works behind the scenes of performances and recordings. I started playing the flute in elementary school, piano in junior high school, and singing in high school. I have been teaching for over ten years now. Working with students both in person and online has been amazing. With online lessons I am able to work with students who love the convenience of being at home and in person I can show students what it is like to really grow! I love my students of all ages, and can only hope to show others how amazing music can be. I have worked with a handful of students with special needs and am comfortable teaching in a non-traditional style. I am currently preparing to complete my certification in music therapy. Those who can do teach, and those who can teach totally do!

Just like a piano, flute or violin, your voice is an instrument. The purpose of voice lessons is to help you to develop a beautiful and dynamic singing voice and also to teach you to use your voice in a healthy, age-appropriate way that will keep you singing for many years to come! As your teacher, I want our class to be more than just singing through a few songs. We will always start with some combination of warm-ups for your breath, body, and voice. Just as you wouldn't go running without first stretching and warming up your muscles, you don't want to start singing full songs without first getting your body and voice warmed up.
Warm-ups will also introduce you to new techniques for properly using your voice in a healthy and beautiful way. We will also work on expression and acting. A song isn't just pretty notes—it tells a story. If it's a song from a musical, there's a specific character that sings it. It's your job as a singer to tell the story and to make it fun and exciting for the audience. While there's a lot of hard work that goes on during a class, voice classes are lots of fun! As your teacher, I am here to encourage you, support you, and guide you in your vocal studies. I look forward to working with you soon!

Kelsey P.
My name is Kelsey, and I teach Guitar, Voice, and Songwriting lessons. I loved learning to play guitar when I was 14 years old as I was learning to write my own songs and perform them for various audiences across Michigan. And now that I've been playing, singing and writing for 17 years, have my Bachelor's in Music from Cornerstone University, and years of touring experience, it has been my privilege the past 6 years to teach these skills to students of all ages out of my home studio! I love to teach and I love music and sharing this passion with my students every week is one of my greatest joys!

Reina M.
My name is Reina and I was born and raised in San Diego. I have been recording, performing, studying music since the age of nine.

I first studied and performed jazz. I am very comfortable with standards. I studied classical in college. I believe that classical training is necessary to have a full understanding of your instrument, the same way you would train with sprints if you wish to become a cross country runner. From there personality and tons of practice are key to success in singing.

Reina is an outstanding teacher that I highly recommend. She can explain concepts in very simple terms that are easy to understand. She is very encouraging and makes lessons fun. With her instruction, my singing voice has been completely transformed in a relatively short time period. I am so excited about my progress and look forward to my future lessons with her.
