What is online summer camp and how does it work?

TakeLessons online summer camps offer a week of exciting learning activities designed just for kids. After you sign up for your free membership, simply log in to TakeLessons and choose from any of a wide range of camp themes. And you're all set! Each day (from Monday to Friday), your child will have access to a vibrant live group session coordinated by a qualified instructor. Between sessions, summer camp members also gain access to our vast library of optional off-line activities to keep them busy while further building on everything they've learned. In a nutshell? Online summer camp is a fun, safe and completely free learning experience for kids aged 5 to 13.

Your TakeLessons Live membership gives you access to hundreds of live summer camp classes suitable for kids aged 5 to 13. Classes are offered every weekday from June through August. Activities will be led by qualified instructors in a rich variety of topics — such as coding, virtual building, drawing, yoga, acting, entrepreneurship, and more. Between real-time learning sessions your child can delve through our extensive library of on-demand videos, course programs, and articles — available any time and from anywhere.

What should I expect from a TakeLessons virtual summer camp activity?

By enrolling with TakeLessons, your young one can expect to learn something new in a safe and enriching online environment. They'll make new friends, learn a new skill, and have lots of fun along the way. Each day, our teachers will deliver an engaging new activity, with fun off-line assignments to keep nourishing your child's week-long brain-building odyssey.

How do I prepare for each summer camp activity?

After you enroll, you'll receive an email with login instructions and (if applicable) a supplies list for each group activity. Most daily activities are standalone, meaning your child can still attend, learn and have fun even if they missed an earlier class.

Do I need to attend all activities?

We encourage you to attend all activities that interest your young learner. Your enrollment unlocks unlimited access to all camps scheduled this summer. Can't make it to every activity? No problem - there are no hurt feelings for missing an activity, but you can let us know in advance by removing activities from your schedule.
