Kat I.

Parker, CO

I focus on Machine sewing. I don't like hand sewing so i avoid it; however, i do know several stitches and when they are preferable. I really enjoy creating the projects that we will make together step by step; however, if you find a pattern you like, i can walk you through how to do it!

I learned to sew as a child and have made many items; from skirts and pajama pants, and stuffed animals to quilted Christmas stalkings!

I tend to work in cotton materials, but have some tips and pointers for other fabrics as well!

About Kat

Hi there! My name is Kat and I'm really looking forward to learning something fun with you! I consider myself a wannabe Glass Artist. I am currently working on a dinosaur quilt- completely done out of fused glass screen printed with glass powders. I did not study Education at school, but for nearly two years i have been teaching glass fusing and basic sewing (ages 5-93) at a great art facility (no longer in business). I have been providing private lessons since September 2014. I have a BA in Art History from CU Boulder and a Masters in Art Museum and Gallery Studies from Newcastle University. I grew up sewing, learned to knit just over 10 years ago, and got into quilting about 4 years ago (when I got my own machine and could stop borrowing my moms.) My first experience ...

Krystine B.

I have sewn since I was 12 when my aunt taught me on a summer holiday. My knowledge of sewing is basic to intermediate, I tend to learn as I go. I am open to help assist with projects as well as with pattern development.

About Krystine

My name is Krystine, and I am 25 years old. My first craft was cross-stitching when I joined a said club in the third grade. A few years later, I began knitting at the age of 10, with my love for sewing, jewelry, and beadwork coming in the middle school years of my life. Later, I learned the complicated intricacies of resin work with my jewelry line, Eleanor Joseph. I've sold on Etsy since 2011, with nearly 8000 sales. My knitting knowledge centers on dyework, pattern development and basic to advanced knitting concepts. I can help with projects, designing patterns, etc. I have a knitting machine, so I am also able to help in that category.
