I went into banjo lessons not knowing if I could master the instrument or not, being nearly 70 years old. While by no means a master (and never going to be), I have learned so much from Sam and he has shown such patience with me. I often leave my lessons wondering how he ever puts up with me - but he does. His encourgement, laid-back style, expertise and knowledge of music (plus theory) and the banjo is impressive. His good nature makes my lessons so much more pleasant. I would say Sam is a a great teacher for both a beginner or an accomplished musician or in between. He likes to talk and demonstrate (nice and slowly if requested) so I would recommend hour-long lessons at first.

Dale J.

New Kensington, PA

About Dale

I've taught public school elementary band for 30 years, have been a church organist for 70 years, and taught piano and organ for 57 years. I enjoy teaching music and working with students and believe that learning to read music will enable the student to play with other musicians and enjoy music as much as I have. I try to put myself in the student's place to think as he/she does and help them understand music and perform it.

Clint has a relaxed almost casual approach to teaching Harmonica. I learn more each lesson than with any other instructor. I recommend Clint and his style of teaching to anyone interested in playing harmonica.

Susanna is truly amazing. She is highly knowledgeable, patient, attentive to details, and is able to customize each of her lessons depending on her students performance. She is very good at showing support and encouraging her students to deliver their best performance in every lesson.
She is also quite flexible and understanding with lessons scheduling, and generally a very pleasant person to talk to. I highly recommend her as a teacher!

David really worked with my son on his audition song as he is preparing for high school musical audition. Great instruction and constructive feedback. Obvious improvement after one 45 min lesson. David also gave helpful advice regarding auditions and what a director may be looking for.
