Bonjour!  

This class will explore a host of topics related to France, French News, and of course, French people. 

From France hosting the 2024 Olympics to discovering the strong traditions around the Cannes Film Festival, there will be no shortage of current events for us to explore and discuss together. We will also follow the upcoming presidential election and try to guess who will be elected Président de la France in April 2022!

You will be sure to learn new fun facts about French culture.

Bonjour!

Native to Le Mans, France, the rillettes region, I began my teaching career in 2014, using both the online and in-person platforms. I have also worked in an independent private school and in a liberal arts college as an advanced French teacher in New York State. Before my teaching career, I had a career in the automotive industry in France, was a small business owner in Florida, and worked as a marketing and business consultant, in California. I have been in the United States since 2008 and love any opportunity to share my language, culture, and experiences.

My name is Fabrice and I am excited that you are considering French lessons with me. 

French is not just a beautiful language, it is a culture and people rich in Liberté, Egalité, and Fraternité. With all of my students, we not only explore the richness of the language but also the expansiveness and depth of the culture,  people, and of course the country. 

I am confident in my ability to help you learn French in easy and fun lessons. I have helped students of all ages, most of whom have little to no experience with the language. Today, many of these, same, students are well versed in conversational French and able to read, write, speak, and explore the language and culture in ways they didn’t imagine. I have also worked with students who have a good understanding of the language and wish to brush-up on their skills or work to perfect the language as a native speaker.  

I apply numerous strategies that will depend on how you like to learn, however, I always try to help students feel comfortable so that they can talk because talking is the basis of an enjoyable lesson. From there we discover new vocabulary, analyze grammatical structures, practice fluidness, pronunciation, and intonation. I enjoy exploring current and past events by using newspaper articles, extracts from books, videos, and songs. I also encourage you to submit any document you would like to study if you feel that it could be useful. By providing the documents in advance I can prepare an interesting lesson for you.

Fabrice is exactly the kind of teacher I was hoping to find and I am so pleased to have found him. As someone who has been speaking French since childhood, he has helped me tremendously to improve my grammar and vocabulary. I started taking French lessons with Fabrice three years ago when I was planning a trip to France to visit my in-law’s. After about three weeks, I had the confidence and basic language skills to feel comfortable speaking to native French speakers. About one month before my trip, I was speaking French pretty much fluently. Fabrice is personable, kind and very passionate about teaching French.
