About Helena
I am a native speaker of Portuguese and got my degree in English (ESL) and French Teaching in my home country, Portugal. I have been teaching foreign languages and ESL for more than 20 years and am c
omfortable working with all age groups. I taught 17 years in Portugal (ESL and French; 6-12 grades and Adult Education Programs) and ever since I moved to the US in 2010 (Portuguese and Spanish in a corporation, and tutoring all four languages at home or online). I am a very patient, motivated and enthusiastic teacher and I always adjust my teaching methods to the student's age, needs and purpose. I never give up on a student and I am sure I can help him/her attain his/her full potential. I believe anyone can learn a new language but consistent repetition and refreshing before, during and after class is needed. I expect the student to be responsible, patient and persistent in his learning process and I am willing to help him/her on the way.

About Kami
Hi, there! My name is Kami, and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2012 and have loved helping my students succeed. I teach many subjects including Spanish, Honors/AP U

I encourage community amongst all of my students, regardless of subject, and will promote the use of the BAND app in order to keep track of schedules and let my students know if I have an unexpected emergency and must reschedule. It is not mandatory, but I highly recommend it as it will allow students to communicate amongst one another and ask questions if needed.
