Classical Piano Lessons in Westlake. Amazing Teachers.

I love to teach Classical Piano. I teach all levels and make sure you really understand what you are learning at each stage of the process. This helps you to be able to advance more easily and gives you a more well-rounded ability to play anything from Gershwin to Mozart to Rachmaninoff!

We will be working through Alfred's Piano books if a beginner. We will also work on songs of choice.

I received my formal education from a conservatory teacher in Italy Marika Torchio. I started lessons when I was 8 years old. I came to the United States in 1995 and continued lessons with Terrence Cage a graduate of Manhattan school of music.

I attended Stony Brook University for music and also continued with private lessons. I enjoy teaching piano lessons as I am pleased to pass on to a new generation the love of music. I make learning the piano fun and easy without any pressure. Learn at your pace and have fun!

I have been playing for 25 years and teaching for the past 6 years. I have an out-of the-box, unique teaching style that combines traditional, Suzuki, and proprietary (my own) teaching methods, which I use in varying combinations to suit each individual student's needs.
I'm experienced teaching a wide variety of musical styles (anything except rap and country).
I insist on classical foundations but am always open to new music, often using students' selections to teach them musical skills.
I have experience teaching students with minor learning disabilities, as well as ADD/ADHD and Asperger's, both of which I have myself.
This makes me a better, more flexible teacher, and I am open to working with you and/or your child, even as far as incorporating music lessons into homeschool curriculum.
I do take teaching music seriously, and I do require parental involvement on a regular basis, as I consider this crucial to learning

I teach beginner students to read music on both staffs. Advanced students study Hanon, Bach and Mozart.

Playing piano is fun! Music is a part of each of us and we gain so much from music lessons. Beginners of all ages are welcomed and encouraged! I try to match music choices and teaching materials to each student because as an experienced teacher I know that we each have our own likes and learning styles.
