Ms. Charlene has been my piano teacher for ten years. She is very patient and dedicated. I was shy but gained confidence as I expanded my piano repertoire. I participated yearly in the CM piano evaluations organized by the Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC) and was selected almost every year to perform at the Branch Honors Recitals. Since completing the Advanced level CM and moving to college, I have stopped taking piano lessons from Ms. Charlene. However, I still play the piano whenever I have the time. I highly recommend Ms. Charlene as a piano teacher.
Monica
Charlene is a wonderful teacher, extremely patient and experienced. I absolutely love her way of teaching my 5 year old.
Kim
I took piano lessons with Ms.Charlene for 13 years. I started my lessons with her at a very young age when I was in kindergarten. My piano journey with Ms.Charlene is an experience I will treasure forever. She is very kind, nurturing, patient and professional. She taught me musical skills that enabled me to perform confidently at recitals and complete my Advanced level CM piano evaluation. I am proud that I can pick up any piece of music and play with ease. I also volunteer to perform regularly in a hospital for patients. It brings me joy to share music with others and its all thanks to my teacher Ms.Charlene.

Do you want to unlock the mysteries of the guitar fretboard? Learn to play songs, improvise for the first time or explore new ideas for improvisation, study rhythmic grooves and learn to keep and feel the beat. Guitar can be a vehicle for your souls' deepest expression and also a form of practicing meditation. I began teaching before I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. After Berklee, I performed in several bands, toured Europe and worked as a sound engineer for both live and studio settings including several festivals in Costa Rica.. I can help guide you with creating your own sound recordings if desired. Whether you are just getting started or an experienced guitarist looking for some unique perspective I'd love to help you find a new groove! My favorite styles to play are rock, reggae, R&B and the blues but I also play funk, jazz and classical guitar. Drop me a line today!

About Jennifer

I began playing guitar at 12 years old. Before that I had dappled with the piano and always sang. There was something about the guitar that just drew me in! I always loved seeing the hands of guitar players and the sounds that would accompany those shapes. Guitar is a very pattern based instrume

"Matt has been awesome for my student. His math skills have improved greatly, and his writing has come from illegible to what can now be described as neat and readable. Matt has been very patient and deliberate with our son and has taken the time to really explain things to Jake in a way he can understand. We would recommend this tutor to any parent looking for a tutor for their grammar school student! Matt is also reliable and prompt and showed up when expected which was helpful with our very busy schedules."
