I teach all areas of Guitar. I teach you how to read the music, understand the theory, and to play many different styles as well as genres of music. I also work on playing by ear and transposition as well as how to follow a lead sheet or chord sheet.

My curriculum includes notes in relation to fretboard, chord shapes and construction, theory, sight singing and ear training, scales, improvisation, strumming/picking techniques, and more. I can come to you!

Gary is a professional touring/recording guitarist,composer
and member of PERE UBU, ROCKET FROM THE TOMBS AND THE LEGENDARY SHACK SHAKERS.
A Graduate of Berkee College of Music, he has over 30 years of experience teaching and performing. He specializes in Contemporary and Classical Guitar. Lessons focus on the application of Music Theory to Guitar to help students acquire strong compositional and songwriting skills, knowledge of chord construction, the ability to play scales proficiently, and gain necessary skills needed for solo improvisation. In addition to a wealth of teaching experience, he has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe and has numerous songwriting credits on international releases.

I've been performing music for over 15 years. I've been teaching guitar for the past three years. I like keeping guitar fun! I will work with each student's individual needs and goals. I like all kinds of music and styles so don't feel embarrassed if you wanna learn a Taylor Swift song or Old Town Road.
