Cello Lessons in Stonewall. Amazing Teachers.

I have been teaching cello to students of all ages for over six years. I aim to tailor my teaching plans to each student’s unique goals and learning habits. I structure my lessons so that students learn and play what they enjoy, while also building a strong foundation of fundamental cello technique.

In my lessons, my primary focus is helping students learn cello at their own pace, and developing their love and appreciation for music! Cello can be challenging, but anyone can learn with the right guidance! I have a conservatory training, and years of experience teaching people of all ages how to play. Students will learn technique, music reading, scales and arpeggios, and basic music theory in a comfortable and encouraging environment!

Experienced Music teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of their instrument and theory skills. I specialize in all styles. Typically, I use a variety of method books to pick from to meet the needs of the students. I also have many tools available to use during lessons.
My students have gone on to NYSSMA and on to college auditions successfully!

I am a string specialist. That means I teach and play violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, ukulele and piano. I earned B.A. earned from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley Colorado where I was a double major in classical guitar and double bass. In my senior year I was the recipient of the Annual Concerto Contest where I performed the "Concerto in A Major" on double bass with the University orchestra for the spring concert. I have played in both professional and semi-professional orchestras in Colorado and Arizona. I believe that any student will practice more if he or she likes the music they are playing. Periodically I will ask a student to give me a name of a piece of music that they would like to learn how to play. I notate it for them, often simplifying the rhythm and chords in Finale NotePad and give it to them free of charge. I teach students how to play music on their given instrument. I can help the student practice and learn their way around the cello in an efficient manner. This means that I will be helping with intonation and other technique by giving exercises for the challenging passages. Lessons will be customized according to the goal of the student. Sharing my knowledge in cello and music is a passion and a goal of mine and I would love to help reach your goals.
