Hello, my name is Bailey and I love teaching cello! I am a professional pianist and public school orchestra teacher. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Fredonia School of Music. I am a certified K-12 music teacher in New York State. I have been giving private lessons for 10 years to a variety of learners ranging in age and skill level.
My students walk away each week feeling empowered and confident in their abilities. I am able to push you while making you feel excited about new challenges. I am able to assess what you need, and offer you meaningful feedback in small, digestible chunks. Along with all of this, I make lessons fun! I teach fourth and fifth graders at school, so I know how to have a good time while helping students make great strides. I make it a point to ensure that you enjoy playing your instrument.

I have been teaching cello privately for over 40 years! I teach and have taught beginners of all ages up to university students. I enjoy teaching young children and have a full studio of adult learners. My specialty is the Suzuki method, but I teach using a wide variety of materials. I have a Master's degree in Cello Performance, and have an active playing career of orchestra, chamber music, and solo performance. I run my own chamber music business.

Hi! My teaching is inspired by my classical training, while incorporating work experiences in improvisation, jazz, and pop. I hope to help students engage with music and equip them with tools to be uniquely creative and expressive.

Valentina is a cellist with 11 years of experience, currently, she is a professor at music academies; she has participated in national and international orchestras. She was part of the “El Sistema” in Venezuela, where she obtained her knowledge abilities to become the musician she is now. I like to see how my students grow and advance; I get involved in their musical growth, which helps them to develop each of their skills by giving them tools they enjoy to work on while they enjoy it.

As a cellist with 18 years of playing experience and 5+ years of teaching I have learned that music can change your life at any age and even can help you heal from whatever struggles life throws at you. Music and learning an instrument can improve your brain functions in a way that no other activity can accomplish. I am so passionate about teaching and customize my teaching style to each student individually because the same approach does not work for everyone. I strongly believe in that and try to get to know my students, who they are, what their strengths and weaknesses are and how I can help to overcome those. I get very involved with my students and build a personal relationship with each one of them to further help them with cello. I've had some wonderful instructors myself including Amir Eldan and Hans Jensen who taught me not only how to play the instrument itself but also how to use those skills that come with being a musician in life.

I work with different books, depends on the level of the student, Essentials, Suzuky, Dotzauer, Klengel scales, Duport, Popper, Piatti, Sonatas, Concertos like Vivaldi, Saint Saenz, Bocherini, Haydn C and D, Dvorak, Lalo, and much more, i also prepare the kids for Recitals, All State and Competitions.
