I am a professional violinist and violist in the Boston area. I am a graduate of the New England Conservatory where I have studied with Miriam Fried, Donald Weilerstein, and Martha Katz. I have performed extensively throughout my life as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player on both the violin and viola in a variety of professional ensembles including substitute viola work with the Borromeo String Quartet. I draw from this performing background to teach my students of all ages and abilities.
I currently act as Adjunct Instructor of Violin and Viola at Merrimack College, where I serve as a primary instrumental teacher to enrolled students. I have also acted as the primary violin teacher for Main Street Music, LLC, in Waltham. Additionally, I run a private studio of 5-10 students as young as 6 and as old as 60. Of these, some never touched an instrument before our first lesson, and some are serious conservatory-bound musicians intending to make a career as a performer.

Also a challenging instrument, I am determined to help every student develop the necessary techniques and skills needed for violin playing. Because I studied abroad — across three continents (Australia, UK, USA), I have a more worldwide perspective on violin performance practice. I also bring a flexible approach to my discipline, since my focus in classical music encompasses both traditional and modern repertoire. I am very intimate with the art of performance, as I am an avid recitalist and collaborator.
I was a Teaching Assistance/Fellow at UCLA for three years, and I have taught privately for the better part of a decade. The main tenet in my pedagogical philosophy has always been to allow a student to express their own voice, and to cultivate the discipline around their unique expression.
About Xenia
I am a violinist originally from Sydney, Australia. I graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium with a Bachelor in Music Performance, a Masters from the Royal Academy of Music, London, and a Doctorate from UCLA. As a performer, I have performed in Australia, New Zealand, China, UK, Europe, and USA.

I teach from the earliest beginner through adult. My violin students are currently performing for different schools and ensembles. When students are performing with orchestras, much time is spent working on that music as well as their regular music.
About Diane
I have a degree and certification in violin and piano from the Boston Conservatory as well as a Master's Degree from the University of Maryland. I have had additional training and certification as a Suzuki teacher from The Suzuki Teacher Training Institute. I am a member of SAGWA-Suzuki Associati

The violin showcases a player's talent more than any other instrument, some say. It's the hardest instrument of them all, others say. Whatever your goals, I am happy to play a role in your musical journey with this instrument. Follow a classical, traditional method of my own development that incorporates the most common repertoire sought after in festivals, auditions for orchestras, and auditions for colleges.

Tasha has been teaching private lessons since 2002 and is currently available to teach lessons online until the pandemic is over. Tasha has helped students win competitions, become concertmasters and section principals of their school and youth orchestras, go on to study music at university, and e
