Hola y bienvenidos! Hello and welcome! I am a certified Spanish teacher with over 10 years of experience in person and online. My classes are fun and colorful and are geared towards ages 3-5.

I have been teaching Spanish for 20 years and also work as a Spanish/English interpreter, so my Spanish level is that of a native speaker. I've also lived in Spain, Mexico, and Guatemala for extended periods of time.

I teach to each students strengths and break down the grammar into easy to comprehend portions, as well focusing on the spoken aspect of the language; since it is the most important aspect of being able to communicate in the language. I utilise pictures, word association, songs, and a variety of techniques to reinforce and remember vocabulary.

In addition, I like to break lessons into 2-3 parts to avoid boredom on the part of the student. This can also include games specifically tailored to Spanish-language learners.

My language lessons are customized to my student's needs and preferences.
When teaching Spanish I don't only focus on teaching the grammar and vocabulary but also on transmitting my culture as I introduce you to Spanish literature, movies from different Spanish speaking countries and also Spanish music. After all, there's a lot more to Spanish culture than soap operas!

Teaching Spanish in New York city gives me the opportunity to create situations of Spanish immersion for you, we can always select different Spanish locations in the city to practice lesson topics such as "asking for directions", "shopping", and so forth.

I was born in Italy in a bilingual family. I grew up speaking Italian and Spanish, I then start learning English and German in school. When it was time to decide my education I had no doubts, I wanted to perfect my knowledge of English and Spanish. I decided to move to Milan to get my BA in Interpreting and Translation at IULM University. Becoming a translator gave me a unique insight of what languages and words are all about, what learning a language really means, and the realization that it is a lifelong process and commitment.

There's always something to improve, there's always something to learn, and that's the beauty about it.

I've tutored many people in the past 5 years and they all decided to start learning Italian or Spanish for different reasons. Depending on that reason I was able to create a specific program for them, something that would really make them reach their goals.
