German is a spoken language, so being able to speak it well is important. I work on building vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing. For students who are planning to travel in German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) we can also work on survival: basic words & phrases for travelers, and listening/understanding when spoken to.

I can teach you beginner's German- speaking, reading, writing through fun interactive games, music and conversational exercises. I have lived in Austria, studied German in college, and taught German to kids, teenagers and adults.

Hallo liebe Studenten! Wilkommen ins Deutch Klasse! Welcome students! My name is Alex Boyt and I am a theatre artist so in addition to teaching acting classes, I teach german as well! I studied german for 3 years in high school, and another 3 years in between and at my undergrad. A good friend of mine in high school moved to my school from Germany and some of his family members only spoke german so I learned a lot more just through being around native speakers. I am conversationally fluent and have a strong foundation when it comes to grammar, sentence structure, and verb conjugation. I am a native German speaker, born in Vienna, Austria to Nigerian parents. I have lived and worked in Nigeria, West Africa; London, United Kingdom; Waageningen, The Netherlands and currently work for a major United States Airline as a German speaking Flight Attendant. My background and life experiences have given me more exposure than the average person, and I am excited to help other people learn, expand their travel horizons and generally develop a sense of appreciation for different cultures and peoples.
