I’m a professional singer with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in vocal performance. I have extensive experience with both musical theatre and Opera but will teach any genre. I was a vocal TA to over 30 students at the University of Illinois and have developed an understanding of how to develop a student’s personal style. I also taught privately in Jacksonville where I received a minor in education. My course credits include italian, German, and French diction, pedagogy, vocal literature, musical theatre history, and opera history and I’ve worked with singers such as Nathan Gunn, Michelle DeYoung, Susan Graham, and Jerold Siena in order to develop my unique perspective and Style as a singer and educator.
About Michaela
I believe that anyone can learn to sing if they apply the principles of classical technique and practice good breath support/healthy tone production. I also believe it’s very important to apply the principles of characterization to any genre. Understanding and interpreting the lyrics/text is essent

Opera is an amazing art form; the human voice can be so focused that it can carry over an entire orchestra with no amplification. Whether you aspire to this art form or not, it is great to learn how to support and project your voice and to keep it healthy for a lifetime of singing enjoyment.
I recommend adults take from 45 minutes to 1 hour lessons weekly for skill building. The price of lessons DECREASES by 10% after each 5 lesson purchased for the first 15 lessons.
About Julia
I have a Master’s in Opera Performance from the Boston and New England Conservatories and graduated from Vocal Performance programs at Boston University and Western Washington University. I have sung professionally with Boston Lyric Opera, Children’s Theater Companies, churches and synagogue and ha

As a professional opera singer with international career I have performed with opera companies and in opera houses all over a world, gained a lot of singing and acting experience and successfully share my experience with my students.
I enjoy helping beginners to make first steps in singing, but also work with emerging professionals who need little correction, professional advise and an honest opinion to rely on.

Hello fellow Opera singers! My goal is to help you refine your own unique instrument and help you to express a story and art through the voice!
I grew up taking piano lessons and singing in my church and school choir. I always had a love for all classical music and soon enough fell in love with opera! I begin taking classical voice lessons at the age of 15 and soon realized that my heart and soul belonged to opera and had to continue my studies a lot more in depth.
I went to UCLA where I received my Bachelor of Arts with my emphasis in Opera Performance. Throughout the years spent at UCLA, I not only continued to sing with choral groups, but also performed in every opera. I sang one of the principles roles in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges, and sang one of the principles roles in many opera scenes such as Dorabella from Così fan tutte, Mercedes in Carmen, Second Lady in The Magic Flute, Nerone in L'incorazione di Poppea.
Since I graduated college I have collaborated ...

Opera is my first love, and I love helping students learn and experience their voices for the first time in this beautiful art form. I also have a keen ear for experienced singers, and have a holistic approach to singing and breathing to help iron out problems in the voice.

It is always exciting when a vocal student is ready to start studying his or her first operatic aria! One of the best things about being a classical singer is knowing you have so many great years ahead of you. After all, you’re considered in your prime in your 40s. That being said, realize that the voice you have now and the repertoire you’ll first study will be very, very different from what you sing later on in your career. It’s absolutely crucial that you sing repertoire that is …
