I work in NYC as an actor/musician, and am currently The Fiddler in the Drama-Desk winning revival of The Fiddler on the Roof Off-Broadway! As a classically trained musician, I have found myself playing a wide range of genres in my professional life, from musical theater to bluegrass. Our lessons will include scale work, ear-training, and a range of repertoire catered to your wants and needs!

What I love about teaching is that moment when the student is making beautiful music and is enjoying themselves. My lessons are fun and methodical. I focus on what the student needs and how they can achieve their goals with the instrument.

Congratulations! I mean it! Looking for violin lessons is a big step, and the first to achieving your goals as a budding musician.

In your lessons with me, you will first learn proper set-up and technique, and we will mainly work from the Suzuki method books. Additionally, I will provide you with various scales, exercises, and "fun pieces" as you progress. I wholeheartedly believe that learning the violin should be enjoyable, and not a chore. So, wherever you are at with current skill level, and whatever your motives are for taking lessons, you can rest assured that we will have a great time together!

Experienced violin teacher of 20 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of classical violin skills. I teach Suzuki method and Kodály method. I teach contemporary music songs.

If I were to say 15 years on the violin, that would be a shocking time. I did earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Music where I received most of my education in both violin and piano. In my perspective, the violin is such an intricate instrument and I am blessed to work with students in wanting to learn violin. It’s true where putting the hard work in violin takes you where you need to be. It does require Practice! I am willing to work with the student and help them grow in advancing this instrument.
