My lessons are built-up from a person's natural voice. It is genuine and has much more character than trying to unnaturally mold someone's voice. I teach various techniques with accompanying exercises for both group and solo vocal performances.
I enjoy building confidence in singers across multiple levels of experience, with the final goal of making them proud of their own voice and style.

Before Ms. Jamila was my piano teacher, I had little interest in the piano. My other teacher gave me boring, easy songs, which didn't help. After that, I despised the piano, and thought I never would play it. Then, Ms. Jamila came along. Unlike my other teacher, she asked my interests and what song I really liked. Now, I don't know how I ever hated it. I believe I will go far with her as my teacher. She posts articles on her blog and her website which deepens my understanding of music. I would reccomend her to anyone, because on a scale of 1 to 10, she's infinity!
She is patient and extremely knowledgeable about music.

Bachelor's degree in Music with a minor in Applied Mathematics. Music has always been a passion of mine and it is why I pursued a degree in it. As an analytical person, I take a technical approach when it comes to teaching theory. My lessons will include mnemonic devices that will ensure you'll remember things for years to come. I want my students to be themselves and recognize the passion that comes from learning Music Theory.

Daniel is an excellent teacher who patiently covered all of the issues that I needed help with. I have had advanced training in music, and he helped me more than most of my previous teachers ever did. I would highly recommend him without hesitation!"
There are so many good things I could say about Arlys. I came to her with only a few weeks to prepare for an audition and with no previous lesson experience. In only the four and a half hours she taught me, I feel like it made a huge difference. She has wonderful teaching techniques that she learned professionally, but she's also wonderful at learning along the way. She work with you and suddenly there's a whole new way she finds to teach you. She seems to learn from every lesson she teaches and is so obviously enthusiastic about what she does. Even outside of our lessons, she did a bit of research into my audition song to try and find a way to make it easier to learn. She even called me after my audition to see how it went.
Her wonderful teaching skills aside, she's also great at making you feel comfortable. I went to her full of anxiety and within the first few minutes I was immediately comfortable around her. She also was able to teach me an amazing meditation technique that's not only calming but also makes you more alert, something none of my therapists for my anxiety were able to do.
In short: She knows what she's doing, she learns along the way, she's so easy to relax around, and she shows a great deal of care for her students."
Whether your acoustic guitar is brand new or gently used, you can do a few simple things to keep it in great condition! Follow these tips from guitar teacher Samuel B. to get the most out of your acoustic guitar... Let's face it. Acoustic guitars can be an outright nuisance to keep in shape. They're delicate, sensitive to both humidity and temperature patterns, and often have weak central support. While the desire to keep yours both easily accessible and on display in a stand or on a rack is …
